Default AT&T 3G

I really wish they'd release a version compatible with AT&T 3G. What's it going to take for HTC to realize the demand for their state of the art hardware coupled with a "current gen" OS?

They should release a radio that supports World Frequency for 3G bands like 850/900/1700/2100. The underlying h/w is capable of 3G bands I belive.
thanks

DONATE TO ME
Its a Vodafone exclusive phone, as in it won't released on any other network. Why would HTC spend money enabling 3G frequencies, and more to the point why would Vodafone let them when they are the one footing the bill for development costs? Don't gripe at HTC, take your anger out on AT&T for not getting the finger out and doing what Tmobile and now Vodafone are doing.

AT&T can't do it due to the exclusivity agreement with Apple they have. See BlackBerry Storm, Samsung Omnia or HTC Touch Diamond all they have missed and they got HTC Touch Pro because they want to lure the AT&T Tilt subscribers to continue. They are not getting Palm Pre also due to this.

Other reason could be Yahoo!. AT&T roots are SBC and it has a deal with Yahoo! for its search. If they get Android, it is going to be all Google, which is contra to their policy.

I may be wrong too.

Rogers Wireless announced the availability of the Magic and Dream, June 2nd. Rogers supports the 850 band that AT&T uses. Of course these phones will be locked. Rumoured retail price will be $599 each.
