Now I know what the problem is, but couldn't solve it.

I took the hosts file from a downloadlink above and tried to copy it with root explorer to system/etc. It doesn't work because of too less space in the system/etc.

Are there any programs I can delete riskless?

Radio: 2.22.28.25 SPL: 1.33.0013d SD Card: 8GB Class 6 - ~7.2GB Fat32 / ~500MB Ext3

I always delete that whole folder and the notification folder, lol

All my ringtones and notifications are custom and on my SD.

Oh, and I always delete cameraclick.ogg that is in the audio/ui folder so my camera is silent

I love AdFree - I wonder if its possible to block airpush? I installed a program that made ads appear in the notificationbar - apparently airpush is the culprit.

Default symlink from/data/data/hosts?

Sorry if this has been answered as I read a couple pages, but not all 69. What exactly does the option "symlink from/data/data/hosts do when checked? I downloaded and installed hosts from the top button, and everything went well. Do I need the symlink option for anything special? I'm using this on a Defy. Thanks.

So I played around with the app a bit. I reverted back to stock, and found if I have this option checked, and download new hosts, ads aren't blocked. I reverted back again, but un-checked this option, and downloaded new hosts, then the ads were blocked. I did this a couple of times to check, so I guess I don't need that option, but I would still like to know what it is suppose to do.

The reason it that when a file is put in data a program doesnt need root (superuser) access to write to that file. The file in /etc/host is linked to the file in data so that way you can still use adfree on an unrooted android device.
