Default Landscape with TouchFLO 3D 2

Hi everybody,

with TouchFLO 3D 2 it seems to be easier, to use applications in landscape mode, as there is a 'WhiteList' registry key to define, which applications are allowed to run in landscape mode and which ones aren't.

To basically use Manila in landscape mode, there are 3 registry mods needed:

1) Add string value to HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila
String: EnableLandscape Value: true

2. Add string value to HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\ModuleName
String: TF3D Value: \Windows\manila.exe

3. Add string value to HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\WhiteList
String: TF3D Value: Manila

Then manila shoud rotate when the device is rotated counterclockwise 90 degrees

To use Windows Explorer in landscape mode, there are 2 registry mods needed.

1. Add string value to HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\ModuleName
String: File Explorer Value: \Windows\fexplore.exe

2. Add string value to HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\WhiteList
String: File Explorer Value: FEXPLORE

To use Navigon MN|7 in landscape mode, there are 2 registry mods needed:

1. Add string value to HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\ModuleName
String: Mobile Navigator Value: \Storage Card\Navigon\MobileNavigator.exe

2. Add string value to HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\WhiteList
String: Mobile Navigator Value: MobileNavigator

Now I'm looking for a way, to use the phone app in landscape mode. Has anyone an idea, how to do this?

By the way: Please softreset to activate the new settings ...

I know the path for Excel is \Windows\pxl.exe, but I have no idea what to put in the Whitelist. PXL doesn't work.

Any ideas, anyone?

Have you been able to get the start programs list to scroll while rotated in landscape?? After doing the landscape rotation with TF3D2 Tweak I can't scroll the list of programs when it's rotated.

My programs list does scroll in landscape, but you have to make sure your finger is near the middle of the screen, over the icons. The black bands on either side aren't "active". I have no idea why the icons don't fill the screen to the edges liek they do in Portrait.

To use Excel Mobile in landscape mode, there are 2 registry mods needed.

1. Add string value to HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\ModuleName
String: Excel Mobile Value: \Windows\pxl.exe

2. Add string value to HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\WhiteList
String: Excel Mobile Value: pxl

To use Word Mobile in landscape mode, there are 2 registry mods needed.

1. Add string value to HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\ModuleName
String: Word Mobile Value: \Windows\pword.exe

2. Add string value to HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\WhiteList
String: Word Mobile Value: pword

I did not find out, what influence the Value of the WhiteList entry has. The name must be there in order to use the app in landscape mode, but I tried with ExcelMobile, PocketExcel and pxl as value and it worked in all cases.

When manila runs in landscape mode and I start word or excel, it comes up in landscape ... When I the turn to portrait, it turns as well, but not back again, no clue why ...

Thanks for that, works well except, as you said, you can't rotate back to landscape from portrait, you have to start Excel in landscape. It's not perfect but it's certainly better, and it's nice to see my DVD database in Excel in wiiiiiiiiiiiiide screen, so I can all the fields at once )

Why on Earth HTC didn't add these registry keys in, I'll never know.

I wonder if there's another key somewhere that'll allow us to switch back to landscape from portrait, hmmmmm.....

DONATE TO ME
Just get G-Config and add excel and word in as supported apps in their own right. Excel is a bit strange though, some of the screens it open up (e.g. when you insert a function using the Fx button) switch the sheet to portrait and to get back to landscape you must close the book and open it again.

Found out, that the phone app is \Windows\cprog.exe (like call-program).
However, this application seems to be portrait only on the TD2, I assume, the skins are not there, to use it in portrait mode like on the Touch HD ...

Does someone know, how to modify this?
