6.5 is a good start but needs to be melted down and poured into a new mold.

i tried the stock rom for several weeks, had to softreset every couple of hours if that. several roms later i tried da_gs clean 6.5 roms and its been the most reliable. i softreset once a day just cause i think its something i should do!

there are still bugs in 6.5 but overall the phone performs nearly as intended!

i think that 6.5 is way more finger friendly a little buggy at first like anything but now is stable for everyday use, thanks to all the chef's cookin' in the kitchen'
It doesn't matter if you have an Android, iOS, WP7, or any other OS based device. Just enjoy what you have and share with the rest of us.

Hates:
When you close and application it always goes back to the home screen rather then the start screen you were in. This is painful like I pressed the wrong icon and I just want the app to close and go back one level not to the home screen.

Aside form little quirks that have not been resolved yet (like going to the home screen instead of back screen as the post above mine states) because its still being developed (hell, some companies dont even have a copy yet or are just bairly getting one), it seems to be a lot more optimized and expanded than 6.1 and even now with new 6.1 builds still in production, they still have little quirks and is far from being a perfect OS.

If you weigh the two together like speed, performance, responsiveness, accuracy, and then the finger vs. stylus issues; I think that 6.5 wins over 6.1 and has a lot more potential to grow/improve whereas 6.1 seems that its just about tapped out and optimized as far as its going to go.

Just my two cents.

Newer builds i.e 21725 have a new keyboard.dll which maps the home key to start (ala windows key) and back button now works as it should.

Just thought I'd throw my .2c in.

I've been running 6.5 since the early build and am loving it...

I hate the new start screen. before i could put my most used applications on there and have it a click away. Now I have to scroll through it if its a newly added application, or if guess which folder its in. It was a very difficult task the other night when I was drunk in the woods looking for my flashlight application.

To quote Apple..."There's an app for that".

I choose option 3

The one option that is keeping me grounded to 6.5 is the new way that the softmenu works. Man HTC tried twice to fix this annoyance but enlarging it first (that caused more annoyances) and then making their own in the new Rhodium and Topaz. Man so finger friendly and no more accidents!

The new Titanium is nice too. It's simple and efficient and barely uses memory and battery. Before I switched to 6.5 I made a clean 6.1 ROM of my own just for running SPB Mobile Shell but my battery would drain after 12 hours! For once I actually used my internet heavy and my battery lasted a whole weekend!

But it still feels beta. Feels like something is missing that was left out, maybe saved for 7?

The one thing I'm kinda iffy about is the Start menu setup. Allthough when your on titanium it makes sense to have it like that. Also wish they would have replaced WMPlayer with the Zune player. IMO it's far more friendly!
