hi allz,

i've broken my digitizer, i must change it

i'd like to know if i have to totaly unscrew my phone to change it (as decribed above,on the cz linked page) )

is it easier to change lcd+digitizer or only the digitizer (no risq to break the lcd when changing only the digitizer ?)

thanks, regards

Hi, digitizer and LCD are two separate parts. So there is no problem to change digitizer without LCD damage. Yes, you must totally unscrew your phone to change it.

Yesterday I changed in a htc P3300 the digitizer and it was glued with lcd screen through an adhesive frame . In P3300 the dust may not enter between the two screens.
Is not the same for the D2?
Hovewer separate the two screens in P3300 was an operation quite difficult and delicate.

Have you replaced you Digitizer yet and how easy was it? Mine has what looks like an oily film in the middle of it and I've just ordered one from ebay to replace it.

Cheers

Anyone point me in the direction of the vibrate motor please? Mine has stopped working and I read a thread for the Trinity that says to try and tighten the screw that holds the motor in place.

TIA
