few questions answered:

1. 1_How is the build quality of this phone?

better than Kaiser. few niggles with wobble and back cover but all in all very solid

2_How is audio quality of this phone(in both loudspeaker and headset)? how does it compare to Nokia N95 8GB(My current phone)?

as i have said it can't beat N95 8gig but holds it own rather well

3_In the benchmarks i saw,it seems TD2 is a little faster than TP2,is that right if so then is it noticeable?

to be honest i dont really check benchmarks. due to form factor of both devices wouldnt really compare them. ya either want one or the other. one with keypad or without! dont matter what it says on paper but user experience counts for more. try the both phones and decide for yourself

4_How is the screen sensitivity?

unfair to compare to iphone on touch sensitivity as iphoine is in a class of its own. what HTC have done with tp2 is got the UI with touchflo working rather well. thats my main joy as it works very with the current 6.1 rom on it.

5_Between this and TD2,which one u choose overall ?

like said before different form factor. people with either devices would vote either way. what i will say is that tp2 has a keypad which is very essential to many business users. td2 is aimed at a different market. TD1 was very good but the TD2 i feel lacks the refinements of the tp2!

for others:
- phone is a fingerprint magnet - my god! need protector
- sound quality is not better than a N95 8gig as that nokia is designed with multimedia in mind. tp2 is more business orientated but sound quality is more than average
- build quality is good but if you read thread you will notice that some peops are unhappy with wobble, back cover slipping off rather easily and pen location etc. not everyone have these issues

i know it can be daunting to read whole thread but most of the latest questions have been answered previously!

our tp2 community is growing rapidly which is great!

The HTC touch diamond has a pathetic battery life. Since the pro II has evolved from that phone, I worried about that

2- Since I upgraded the universal to winmo 6.1 my wifi can't connect anymore. Is this (windows i assume) problem the same on the Rhodium?

Thanks,
Dennix
1. dont own a universal but i am sure beasty who use to develop roms for that device can help you

2. wifi issues are mostly radio and rom related. seeing that you upgraded to wm6.1 i would suggest trying a diff radio or another rom. this isn't a winmo prob.

mate 2 films are not 2 hrs. ya asked if it can handle 2 films...............ready my reply again. it shuld play one film easily but the 2nd film depends on battery and talktime of phone! didn't say it can't do 2 hrs! actually i do know that the tp2 battery is better than the td2 so if ya can manage 2 hrs of film then i'd say ya get 3.5 to 4 hrs on tp2!

Is the Rhodium better than the Universal....?
That is a difficult question and has to be answered depending on how you term "better". It is faster, has more ram, far more fluid interafce, has 3.5 G instead of 3G, has a bigger higher resolution screen, has better battery life (even with a brand new battery in the Uni) is a more polished, lighter newer looking device than the ageing Uni.
All in all, I miss the flip screen of the Uni and it's unsurpasable keyboard.
The Rhodium is a great device, it's very responsive and fluid, much faster than the Uni (unless you're running the 128mb ram upgrade and overclocking the XScale to 620MHz (as I was/am ...... almost comparable then in performance))

I can't say that I miss the Uni that much now (as I did when I had the kaiser and Raphael)

As far as your Wifi on Uni, what are you connecting to?
I did implement Wifi fixes for the Uni as did others, there are newer drivers that allow for most common encryption types. My Uni still connects to my WPA2/AES AP without any issues.

Hope that helps you decide a little, if you have more questions, feel free to ask or PM me.

Cheers,

Beasty

Hey Shingers,

Yep factory Uni only has 64mb ram, to get 128 you have to have it professionally done. Ram chips are BGA so not a home soldering job by any means. I have contact details of a company in Scotland that will do it for around £50 if you have the chips. If not I think they can suply too but not sure on pricing for that mate.

Still have most of my old Roms, link here to the Uni forum where you can see some of them. I never got round to doing a 128mb ram rom (I think ,, it's been so long I can't remember) though and to be honest they're all quite old now. Won't take much to make them 128mb ram compat though if you really want to use one.
Tomal has been cooking on the Uni forum for years and has some good roms up there (Think he is still active and releasing 6.5 roms for Uni too)

Give me a shout if you need any help with any of it.
The Uni is still a great device for business use, it's only real let down is the ram, old screen tech, no builtin gps and lack of 3.5 G. Par that she's still a great PDA.

Cheers,

Beasty
