Today i pulled up my contact list, and those contacts had made yet another copy of themselves, so i had 3 copies of each contact.

Any ideas what may be causing this issue? I obviously has something to do with tying the contact to a facebook profile, but i just can't figure it out for the life of me.
I've checked my google account, and they aren't duplicating there, so i don't even know where to begin (short of disabling the FB link, but id rather keep it of course)
clear and restore... or try tmobile.com and sign into your account they manage contacts now as well..

ok i've been using 2.3.3 for about 2 days and i like it. however i feel that it has memory issues. hopefully when JAC gets back he can look at it first. for one thing i think there is a memory leak or just bad memory management because if multiple apps are open and memory is used up, i sometimes get an automatic os reboot. my guess is it doesn't know how to shut down the right processes. also the phone/dialer should have priority over other processes. i been getting missed calls because i think the phone apk doesn't get access and the call is dropped before it registers that i have pressed the green button

okay that means your on the 1.3 recovery.img

it was an option on the 1.2..
if you go back to that thread he has the command of how to do it on the 1.3...
if not just put the 1.2 img on it will be up there...
but run the repair etc filesystem and see what it says, if it says do it manuallly, u gotta find the command to do it in the console...

Well wht i do between roms is mount my usb...copy the update.zip...then unmount n in adb type

adb remount
adb shell
rm -r /system/sd*
reboot

N in recoery mode i wipe and fix ext2 partition n install the update.zip...has worked for me everytime.
