[APP/HACK] disCali 0.1 - Disable Align Screen

Hey,

What does it do?

Disables "Align Screen"

Motive:

While playing games with my HTC Mogul I've stumbled upon an annoying thing, whenever you press the middle D-PAD button + Message Button, the "align screen" window pops up and won't go away until you complete the alignment process. This sucks considering I never really need to align my screen and I do need those buttons to play comfortably.

Anyhow, I couldn't find any other working solutions so I coded it myself.
I used some pretty advanced hooking techniques and I'm pretty sure this will work on every device with no tailoring. I'd appreciate any feedback stating what device you tested it on.

Instructions:

1. Install the cab.
2. Run "disCali" form Start Menu > Programs, this will disable the align screen function from your entire device until soft-rest (even from the control panel).
3. Run it again and it will restore everything back to normal.

create an empty file naming welcome.not and copy to your SD card. and insert it in your phone it should stop screen align

This app has nothing to do with preventing the after-boot welcome "align screen", it's meant to prevent the hot-key "align screen" pop up during every day use of the device.

thought you wanted to stop the align screen... as in my device the only time i get align screen is after hard reset....

i really need a disCali version which doesnt show the message to call it at startup. or one which only shows the "re-enabled" message, but did not inform about disabling. :-)

If you could make my wish come true, i would be really thankful!

This annoyance is now finally gone.
Too many times I've pulled my phone out of my pocket with an "align screen" staring at me.
Maybe with normal locking this can't happen but I'm using S2U2.

now i can assign the volume buttons and center dpad button in Final Burn on my Opal and play it without the annoying Align Screen.
