Convert them in MP4 !

The small avi files can be easily played in CorePlayer, but for the big ones, it's better to convert them in MP4 and play them in WMP, then they have an optimal quality.

Hello all,

I only noticed the jerky coreplayer playback issue when i installed 1.3.2. Always ran smooth with my older version (not sure what version is was...)

However, with both versions i often experienced crashes when rotating screen, or stopping and starting playback, which lead to me having to soft reset. Anybody else with this problem?

I have no issues playing anything up to 700mb xvid files in Qtv medium quality mode.

Yes, for medium it's ok, the problem is when you play it on high quality.

Funny thing is my 3 years old Palm T5 with TCPMP (older version of coreplayer) plays same movie with same target resolution (so no difference in resolution should apply) about 30% faster (110% compared to 80%).
But then, PalmOS has no multitasking and player can access video ram directly, so everything is much simpler. And as it is pure PDA, it does not have to be so battery conservative, so even if it is that old, the CPU is about same speed as Xperia has.

Yeah after taking a lot of money for a piece of software I'd expect them to get a move on and make something that performs better. It works now but only cos I lower everything!

What does it mean very well? What percentage did you get with benchmark on this file?

Edit: OK I got a sample of the same video. On the benchmark I got 75.77% which is not very good. IF it was 115% it's OK (it means even on high speed scene it won't skip many frames), but 75 is not good at all. That's on high quality, qtv display with "TyTN II" driver mode. Also I'm on stock R2A ROM.

Edit2: Tested the same sample with Touch HD with latest Duty ROM. 81.92%. Better than X1 with stock ROM, but still not good enough.

Both tests are with smooth zoom = off.

Setting quality to mid in coreplayer most movies run smooth - even unconverted. As you might see some ugly artefacts, i would still prefer the convert tool + windows mediaplayer for video playback.

Me too, if I aim for quality, that's the only way to achieve it with decent frame rate.
