Default Owner of ION, Confused about Radio and SPL

I realise not many of us have the Google ION phone but for those who do, perhaps this thread might provide some clarity.

I assume that haykuro's new SPL and radio featured here should work fine for the Google ION phone, as it contains a PVT board.

I confirmed with a flash of both the radio and the SPL, after having rooted the phone.

Recently however I have had unexplained issues which I suspect are relating to this. One of them is that no matter what new build I place on the phone (Ramjet, SuperHero, JACHero), when people call me they cannot hear my voice.

Obviously having a phone that cannot transmit your voice is, well, rather redundant!

Can anyone clarify this for me, and for others who may fall into this situation?

Cheers

you're in the wrong forum. and definitely shouldn't be flashing dream radios or spls....

your phone is google's ADP version of the Magic/Sapphire, just like the ADP1 was the unlocked/dev version of the Dream.

I'm surprised its still working, there are some hardware differences between the phones, and you should definitely go back to your ion SPL, or some version of a sapphire one.

I used this instruction to root my Google Ion without any issue. I have tried modded Ion ROM's, modded Rogers Magic ROM's and ported Hero ROM's (including the latest SuperHero) without any problem. However Rogers Magic ROM's and Hero ROM's couldn't find my work location, which I need for Locale so I go back to a modded Ion ROM.
