black layer is normally just a border, which you can set in your titanium cpr.

I tried that already on the first versions of my plugin:

the border seems to be this one: <Image ID="AABorder" Source="\Windows\ac.dat" Left="80" Top="-40" Width="155" Height="180" Opacity="1.0"/>

which works with the .dat file included in the cab...

and i guess the small black one is this:

<Layer ID="Border" Color="" Left="-1" Top="-1" Width="136" Height="136"/>
