Default HTC Battery Pack

Hi all,

Anyone looked into/bought this:
http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?i=171906

I was quite suprised to find this sort of thing - and yet it is official from HTC too.

Really interested as I have recently found myself short of battery life - allbeit it has been mainly in the car where recently my car charger (original HTC product) died.
But this could be very useful to keep in a laptop bag or even in the boot.

Be interested to hear your views

I assume you just connect it to the charger to "charge it up" and if it came to it, you connect the Diamond2 to it - that transfers the power to the diamond.

I also assume this is re-usable? The information makes it think it is a disposable 1 off use item. For example:
With the high capacity of 2680 mAh, the BB G300 Battery bank provides the ability to charge your device up to three times when mains power is not available

So once it's charged "up to 3 times"...then what - you chuck it in the bin or you just plug it into the charger and it charges up again?

Thanks :- )

Hi Akash,

I bought the Battery Bank BB G300 and I'm very pleased with it. In fact it's just an external battery that can be recharged over an over again usind USB, just like every other USB device.

With the BB G300 you are able too recharge almost every USB device, while maintining mobile. Im charging my TD2 an my mp3 player with it. Simply plug the USB cable that comes with yout device into the BB G300 and an connect it to the device to charge it.

The finish of the device is simple plastic, but not too shabby. There are four leds on the side that indicate the loading status with the press of a button.

That's great Syrus, thanks for that!
I think I'll go for it!

How many times have you used it so far? I suppose the assumption is that it will last as long as the device if not more depending on usage.

Can't telle you anything about longlivitiy of the battery pack. Got both the Battery Pack an my Topaz one month ago. My Topaz runs out of energy after~2,5 days. You can load it about 3 times with the battery back, so I could survive about 1 week with the battery pack. Fully charged it about 3 times so far.

It's worth pointing out there are other similar solutions for far less money, although with less capacity in some cases, and some won't charge from USB, they have their own PSUs. For example:

Hello,

Can anyone give me the dimension of the BB-G300. I have a plastic case to use on my bike with the HTC Touch Diamond, and I would like to know if I can have the TD and the BB-G300 inside the case.

Thank you

Any experiences with Power Monkey ? The battery from HTC is quite expensive.
