Wipe + reflash doesn't work?
Not class 6 sdcard?
Unpartitioned sdcard?

I think we need more info on what you are doing for us to tell you what you're not. Good luck!

Wipe and reflash to hero rom didnt work. But did back to 1.5.
My class isnt class 6 so that might be the problem but flash with it before.
My card is unpatitioned bc that only reason I use this card for is update.

class 6 class 4 there no difference except how fast the sd card swaps files. as long as you have a good ext2 or ext3 partition your fine in that department i have a 4 gig class 4 and apps 2 sd works fine. the only reason people ask about class 6 is cause the transfer speed is 4 megabit for class 6 compared to 2 megabits for a class 4 it has nothing to do with weather hero loads fully or not. the wrong information is more dangerous than not getting any info at all. to repeat having a class 4 or class 2 sdcard will not cause hero to fail to fully load it will only make hero run slower. i get tired of people saying you need a class 6 sdcard to get things to run that's just ignorant of how storage devices work.
HTC Eris and patiently waiting for root

Some things can be summed up to user error. If 95% of the people have no problem it must be your problem.

DONATE TO ME
what you should do is

1. Partition ur SD card, even if your just using it to update. It will allow you to boot up atleast. Use paragon partition manager 9.0 and have the ext 2 be approx 500mb, after that is complete go to console terminal in recovery mode using Cyanogens Recovery Image, and update it to ext3 by typing in "upgrade_fs" without the "

2. Wipe, flash any Cyanogen 3.6x as it will clear some odex files ect. ( this will help you boot up Hero without bootloops from my experience) Have it completely boot up then turn it off and go to recovery and wipe AGAIN.

3. Flash any Hero ROM perferably JACHero the latest for best performance and speed.

4. After sign in ect. Reboot wipe and reboot again. Everything should go smoothly and be pretty fast for a hero rom.

why wipe again...there's no extra points you get from wiping again after upgrading.
