Is there an updated guide or can somebody update this guide since we don't have to rename to update.zip anymore and most people are using teh Amon RA recovery. Pretty much the spl is what I am scared of. I have done it 4 time. 4 phones went in and 2 came out.

uummm....after i installed the radio that you have provided my phone is stuck on the Rogers logo.

Right after i installed the radio and reboot the phone the HTC logo popped up not the silver one but the one with the green and silver symbol at the back of the writing. AND then the Rogers screen popped up, and it wont go away.

I pulled out the battery after like 5 minutes of waiting and i reboot the phone...and it still stays stuck at the rogers screen.

I cant get into recovery menu or into fastboot.

IS MY PHONE BRICKED...PLEASE HELP.

Hey guys.. I Was following the directions. I verified i had the PVT board, I installed the radio frist, then the spl, I put the Newest Cyanogen ROM on my sd card through adb, wiped installed and i had a boot loop. So i reformated my Sd card into the Fat 32, Ext2 and linux swap partions, put the ROM back on my card, wiped installed, and now it just hangs at my custom flash image..I have the latest cyanogen recovery image, and the SPL i just loaded. Whats wrong?!

im working on my bud's phone an...i have read through here an not found a solvent fer my mess...lol... i cant get SU permission, and i cant flash update zips..the recovery keeps saying sig failed?

how do i port sense ui on my g1 rooted running cm6?

you can't port it to cm6, you'll need to install one of the sense roms. check the rom bible sticky, look for either a 1.5 sense rom, or 2.1 sense rom, then follow the instructions.

when i go to check is my board is pvt or dvt there was writted hero cvt !! ? what is cvt and can i setup the spl or what and find radio version 6 do i still have to setup the new radio??

I have an HTC Dream that was rooted running a Cyanogenmod Rom for a few months... it was slow so then went back to stock for a few days and decided to try a Hero rom. Re-rooted the phone, partitioned the sdcard, put the recovery on (Amon-Ra 1.7) and then began following this guide. Flashed the radio, and now I'm stuck on the G1 screen. Can't boot in recovery, wont go to fast boot, and to top it all off, the computer wont read the SD card (for whatever reason I've had this problem before and always solved it by using the USB toggle feature in the recovery). Where did I go wrong and how do I fix it... lol
