Default Security Unlocked Rhodium?

Hey,

Just got my rhodium today... It came from a sample batch (some problems with my old Raphael - the distributor offered this free upgrade).

When I load the boot manager it has a big notice "Security Unlocked" on the top. Could someone please explain what it means? Does it mean I can flash any HTC ROMs without needing HardSPL? Or any ROMs at all?

Security unlocking is another level of unlocking for the radio. It allows you to flash radios (you need Hard though) from another device for example.

It also allows plenty of other stuff, but that's all most users take advantage of.

You're lucky, we normally have to wait for Olipro to get this

I have one like this as well. What exactly will it allow me to do?

There are no stupid questions, just offensive answers.

My Recent ****e:
Raphael Unlocker
Blackstone Unlocker
Topaz Unlocker
Rhodium Unlocker

Shamelessly accepting for Hard-SPL, CustomRUU, Athena-Unlocker/Hard-SPL and Cheetah-Unlocker/Hard-SPL

Incidentally, I have a Blog

it will give you nothing without a HardSPL, but we can safely assume you are also SuperCID (these devices usually come with that feature too, even if the SPL isn't MFG) so you can flash any signed HTC ROMs
Main devices: Athena (x7500&x7510) , Xperia X1, RhodiumW
Other devices: Shift&x9500 (yess! running SPL 1.29.OliNex),
Kaiser&TouchPro&Herald, Diamond&HD, 2xUniversals
(Qtek_9000&Vodafone_VPA_IV) + non HTC's.

I guess it may be a prototype - the rom on it is dated to around March

Pasting for your the bootloader info here:

RHOD100 32M SS-BC
SPL-0.79.0000
MicroP-Rhodium (LED) v7
MicroP-Rhodium (KEY) v4
TURBO HW/TURBO SW
TP MFG DATA
508,518 800,846
792,198 212,194
227,852 Calibrated

Btw - will it need a different HardSPL than standard devices?

I don't reckon so, unless...

BTW: You're SPL is the same as almost every one elses.
