Default Send To: Phone

I know I didn't invent the wheel or anything but I always wanted a way to send the .cab files I find here straight to my phone and couldn't find a way so I created the site: http://sendtophone.info

basically it gives you a badge for people to click, it sends the link to the cab to their phone over txt. I also made a firefox extension so you can click on any link anywhere and send it to your phone. full details are on the site including a code generator for the lazy among us.

Just thought I'd give back a little, you guys are welcome to use it. You have given me countless awesome apps and top notch advice.

I just download the file and email it to my phone. Why get another party involved?

i guess it's another way to be able to dl from your phone, but if i'm on a computer, i just send an IM with the link to my mobile aim name, which sends a text to my phone.

edit: actually, how does this work? do you get charged for sending the text from you site? and i'm assuming you can send any links...

Glad some find it useful. Just to let you know we do not store ANY info. we have no logs, no database, nothing. the only info that COULD be saved is your phone number & carrier can be saved in a cookie on YOUR computer. hope that makes people feel better. I wrote the script with privacy in mind for people like xda users.

If your carrier isn't listed go to our about page to send us a message.

Default RE:

Bundo: I also downloaded and emailed, but its 2009! "they" should have this worked out by now. and most importantly I'm lazy and impatient.
downloading, watching emails send, waiting to receive, downloading again all suck. I love it every time I use it.

Default Too much security !!

I like this a lot, but find it a slow drag to have to type the two words! Since you can select to create a cookie, can you skip the security if cookies is checked?

By no means an expert, so this may be a dumb question.
