After updating from the November 8th, 2009 version to the December 21st, 2009 version my phone doesn't vibrate no more when i receive a text message. It doesn't even ring when I get a text message even if I have it on max ring volume. Any ideas? I use the 218XX builds.

After flashing this new ROM I've discovered that my phone canvas is too long vertically and, as such, my END CALL and KEYPAD buttons disappear. Further, there is no Slide to Answer or Curtain Lock and if I install it on my own (using different CABS and after killing the appropriate processes if necessary), my Keypad, Contacts, or Phone Canvas just further malfunction.

Anybody have a solution to this?

I am a n00b when it comes to this stuff and finally got around to flashing the ROM on my Fuze. I tried about 6 diff ROM's and this is the one I decided to roll with. Very snappy, everything works out of the box and it looks fabulous. Great job guys!

The 24th is latest release and there are 2 build lines.
Start on Top, or Start on bottom. These are identified with a build number.
The build number should always be stated.
In my case I am using build 28011 (start on bottom) with Sense 2.1 from 12/24.

That is all less relevant to your problem, but all should include that basic info when requesting help with a problem.

Here's the answer to you problem.
Start->Settings->Sounds & Notifications
Select the Notification Tab.
Now use the first drop down to select Messaging: New text message
Check the box Play Sound.
Use the drop down to select a sound to play.
Scroll down to check the box for vibrate.

That should be all there is to it.

I'm confident that will take care of your problem.
But, if not, please provide the following details:
all details of software installed.
all details of things done through UC or Sashimi.
any details of anything you did with Advanced config
any regitry settings that you have altered.

Any new roms comming out for Raphael, NRGZ?

I tried using some other ROMs cause of the new 23518 build, but can't get used to them.

Hard Reset without your storage card in.
Now don't install anything.
Don't use Sashima.
Determine if the problem is present.
If it is, that is surprising.

So you are aware, installing some dialers will screw it up and uninstalling it will not fix it. Only a hard reset will.

If you still have the problem. List the ROM that you have flashed. There are 2 varieties of 2.1, 6 varieties of 2.5, and 2 varieties of Titanium. And there are multiple dates for all.

And identify your device. Fuze, Touch Pro.
There are thousands of Energy ROM users around the world. Someone should have a similar setup to yours to help you fix it, but you will need to provide details.

But do follow my advice listed in the beginning of this post. If you have tried installing other dialers and ended up with a messed up dialer, there really is no way that works to easily fix it. In fact I never have been able to fix it without a hard reset. I always try dialers right after a flash or right before, since in either case, a hard reset won't cost me much.

I forgot about that, but Vibrate & Play sound is already checked.

And still doesn't make sound or vibrate.

Curious why you install Google Maps. 3.3.1, since it is already installed with the flash. Shouldn't cause any issues though.

Are you talking about getting a notification with each message during a conversation style in Sense?
Or just the initial message when doing something unrelated to messaging.
I think it will only vibrate and play the sound if you are not on the messages tab while in a text conversation.

Ok I just checked I do have the Dec. 24th 21885 build(I use the one w/o the start button at the bottom)

And Google Maps is from the flash, its just listed under Remove Programs.

I'm talking about it vibrating/making sound when I receive a message from the default Windows Messaging. Before I had updated my phone used to vibrate when on vibrate and make sound when I had the ring volume up.

UPDATE: Wow ok I finally fixed it. For some reason "Enable sounds for Events" & "Enable sounds for Program Notifications" were unchecked. I can't believe I didn't notice that.
