I got why, when not answered, it shows the android logo, when answered, it showed up the avatar. It's a special feature, not a bug.

I don't know but I like to see who I am calling, I cannot see the advantage to have a generic logo until the answer, when the other party answer the call my phone is already close to my ear so I don't see anyway the picture.
If you agree with me you can modify this "feature" :)
Thanks for your work, to get the G1 looks like an usable phone.

thanx!
This worked perfectly for me. (tried to make it as noob-friendly as possible).

1.) Open terminal application on your phone
2.) type "su" to get root access
3.) type "mount -o rw,remount /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system" without the ""
4.) type "cat /sdcard/Phone.apk > /system/app/Phone.apk" without the ""
5.) If there is a Phone.odex file in your /system/app directory, remove it by typing "rm /system/app/Phone.odex" without the ""
6.) Your signal may disappear for 10 seconds, don't panic! This is just the phone adapting to the new Phone.apk you just installed. If you still get no signal after one minute, try rebooting.
7.) Done

BTW, I'm running JF 1.51 ADP CRB43 with Hero theme and have no Phone.odex, so I skipped step 5.

Is there anyway to disable the missed call LED?
or at least a way to change the color?

I'd rather use the Missed Call app and be able to choose the color, but this apk over rides that app

Yeah a possibility to disable the LED would be awesome. At the moment it overrides Missed Call (application) which has a lot more settings for missed calls.
