HTC tweaked OS and original Android OS.

Greetings,

I would like to ask couple of things about the HTC work on the Android OS.First of all,as far as i can understand,Hero users wont be able to update firmware from "mother" Android,but they will have to wait HTC to release their own one.If this is correct,lets continue to the next step of the question.

Hero is a brand new phone and as it seems there will be more HTC phones based on this specific tweaked OS of the company.In other words,HTC will not let this fall free anytime soon.Continuing my thinking from the first part of the question,i might say that HTC will release updates maybe more often than Android firm it self.
