Default Few questions

Hi! Ihave a few questions for you experts to help me. Let"s begin:
1. Does the phone alarm ring if the phone is switched off? I have notice it doesen"t but is there any option i have to tick? I don"t want to have a phone switched on when i sleep because i don"t need it it is a waste of battery but i do need alarm...
2. On settings and battery there are some informations on standby time and the time passed from last charging but on mine it is all on 0. It says not aplicable. How can i use that feature?
3. On memory page it says i have total of 183.73 mb of ram shouldn"t it be like 288 mb ram. I have only 87 mb of free memory but i shoul of have it 187. Doesen"t the phone have 288 mb ram and not 188?

Thanks for helping me. I will have some more questions soon

1) If you switch off your phone with the power button (not only screen off), then there will be no alarm. I do not know any possibility to get Alarm if the phone is complete off.
2) The phone has 512 MB flash ROM, 288 MB RAM.
You can check this in Settings -> Device Information -> Hardware.
There you see as well "Storage Size: 354.92MB".

As far as I know (which can be wrong) it is like this:

The way the phone handles the overall memory is complicated.
Some programs are in the flash ROM (the applications that come with the phone and Windows Mobile), some are in RAM.
And WM reports the memory split into Storage and Program. But it shows not what is in flash ROM and what is in RAM. And it does not show how much the system reserves for cache and stack and variables.

1) you only can turn on "Airplain mode" to save battery life, if your phone is switched off it's same like with desktop pc

Default Messages help

Hi!
I need help regarding messages. In winmo 6.1 i had an option to choose sms or mms message when i wanted to type a new message, but now in the latest rom i dont have that option anymore. The only way to send a mms message is by inserting picture,...etc but what if i want to send only text by mms? How can i do that? The reason i am asking this is because i am not able to send a sms message, dont know why but the same thing was with winmo 6.1 (i could send a few sms messsages when i brought the phone home but one day i just couldnt send sms anymore) .
