2. Does Trinity work with 4GB / 8Gb sdhd cards?
Is anyone managing to use a 4gb or 8gb sdhd card with this rom? If so, how?, because as far as I have read Trinity's do not support sdhd cards. In many cases, after a soft reset, the device fails to see the card anymore.
Thanks in advance

Hi Boky.
Did you ever install any "SDHD patch" to get it to work?

Go to Menu, Select Messages, then select All, All Below, or several. Several allows you to randomly select messages.

1. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Save to Sim is a Package that needs to be cooked into the ROM. I'm not currently running this one, so I don't remember, but if it's not found in the menus, or through File Manager, then it was probably not cooked in.
2. As a follow up to our PM's Mattster: I'm using an 8GB SDHC listed in my signature, and the adapter listed there also. I don't know if it has to do with a particular phone, an SD Card, Adapter, or what, but mine has not given me trouble since I've had it.
I hate to admit it, but I NEVER remove the SD card when flashing using USB. Not sure if that's what's helping, as I've been told the do the opposite, but it's been working for me. Obviously, when I flash SD method, I swap for my regular 2GB SD.

Hi Supersport.
I've been pulling my hair out over this one. The more xda threads I read, the more it seems some Trinity users can use 4GB + cards with no problems, some only after installing a cab, others can't at all. It's crazy as most of the threads reach no conclusions whatsoever.
I am noticing now that some of the earlier ROMS like Schap's WM6 Pro 4.30 ROMs [WWE/FRA] actually stated in the features that they included " SDHC Support":
01/01/08] Schap's WM6 Pro 4.30 ROMs [WWE/FRA]
What I don't understand yet is if SDHC support needs to be cooked into 6.1 and 6.5 ROMS for the user to be able to use 4GB + cards. Some threads suggest that 6.1 includes it automatically, others don't. Maybe some Trinity's have it and other's don't, depending on country or date of manufacture?
Maybe Tomme45i can shed some light when he sees this.
In the meantime I am no closer to achieving anything higher than a 2gb mini sd. According to some, the TRinity is not sdhc compatable anyway, but if that is true... how come YOU have an 8GB sdhc card working!?
Very confused.

That is confusing indeed. I've never installed a Cab to get it to work, and I've used this same card for around a year, and on probably dozens of ROMS, many of the same you've been using. Hopefully, someone will have a good answer for you. I wish I didn't need my adapter so badly, I'd send it to you to try, to determine if that is it or not.
Actually, the adapter is only US $0.45 plus shipping right now. Might be cheap enough to just try it. As a matter of fact, mine has a split, I think I shall order another one to have on hand for when this one breaks.
PS: I just pulled my Micro SD Adapter out to see if there was anything different about it. In fact, it's the one listed in my signature, and it is just called a Sandisk Micro SD adapter. Nothing mentioned about SDHC on the adapter. The SD Card of course says SDHC, and it's the first one in the plastic box listed when you click the link in my signature.

Hi Mattster_spv
Save to SIM works for contacts, but I'm not currently have a solution for the sms.
BTW. You really use it?? The last time when I wrote SMS on the SIM card was about 7 years ago when there was no other possibility...

Please tell me if your SDHC card are working on other roms, and is your card properly read in the SD card reader? Perhaps there is something wrong with the card, since SuperSport works without any problems on the 8GB SDHC card.
I can't help you more, cause I don't have SDHC card to try out.

If you look under the Wiki, it says that all the models of Trinity are compatible with SDHC.
Although, saying that, I did have a 4GB SDHC card a couple of years ago that didn't work so I just stuck to a 2GB card in the end.
What on earth do you need all that space for anyway

EXACTLY! For some users it works, for others it doesn't.

Tomtom Central and Western Europe Maps occupies 1.9 GB.
I seem to have uncovered an issue that has never really been solved. I've bought a new Sandisk 8GB sdhc card to check if that works. It should arrive in the next few days.
