Default Bluetooth mic with skype on treo pro

Has anyone else noticed that the standard bluetooth redirection utilities don't work with the treo pro's mic? It seems like the sampling rate is wrong. When I use bluetooth redirection programs with skype, or whatever other VoIP program, I can hear the other caller fine, but I sound like a chipmunk. I've tried multiple bt headsets and treo pros. Is there any known fix for this? Google shows nothing, and I can't find any settings to control the sampling rate in the registry.

notice that this also seems to happen for the touch pro and the touch pro 2 (same chipset, I think). How come this isn't a bigger issue?

Default Bluetooth and Skype

I've been using the plantronic 855 without issues, I just have to set it to stereo headset and it works fine. Only recommendation is to not leave it as stereo headset by default, the power scheme for the headset then drains the battery in a few hours.

I would think that any other BT stereo headset would work too.

I have the same headset; it will not work for voip. Even with A2DP disabled. Try downloading skype (or any program that uses the mic, actually) and sending audio over the headset with a redirection utility. The other party (or a recording) will hear you be sped up. Of course the headset works fine for listening to audio, I think you misunderstood the question.
