As far as I know, the program that I have written is the only one that works properly for anything using Manila 2.1 or higher.

You can find the manila version by going to Start->Settings->System->Device Info

Then look at Software Version.

You will also need to restart TouchFLO 3D or HTC Sense when done.
Pretty much the same process as disabling, except check the box.

Well, since you have only had it 2 days, you could do a hard reset. Then it will be how it was just like when you bought it.

Explorer will not let you delete it.

I've copied your CAB file, and the shortcut appears in HDS2 but...

I get an error message on start-up :

An unexpected error has occurred in Weather-City-Editor-Manila-2.1-2.5.exe.

This application requires a newer version of the Microsoft(R).NET Compact Framework than the version installed on this device ???

Have I stored the file in an appropriate place ?

Love the HD2 but this is driving me loco !

You probably need to install version 3.5 of the Dot Net Compact Framework.

By default that is what Visual Studio 2008 professional is setup to require.

It's available somewhere on the site for free.

On my Fuze, I use a custom ROM, which includes it.

I'm 90% sure the Tilt 2 is TouchFLO 3D and not HTC Sense.

Make sure to close all running programs.

TouchFLO 3D opens the file and keeps it in use.

If after doing it that way, it still does not work, check the date/time of the file compared with the other manila files. If it is the same date and time as the other manila files, then you already have this file restored.

In that case, restart your phone. Verify the problem is still present.
If so, it might be something else that is causing the problem.

There are a couple options:

Hard Reset. It will be just like it was when you bought the phone.

Flash a custom ROM. It will have a bunch more cool and useful stuff without all the AT&T trial programs. The phone will not be returnable, unless you flash the stock ROM back.

If you have never flashed a ROM, you might just want to just hard reset for now, if the file turns out to be the same date and time as the other manila files.

Does the Tilt 2 come with Sprite Backup?

If it does, and you do decide to Hard Reset, use Sprite Backup before installing anything.
Then, if you have problems with your phone after the install, you can restroe and your phone will be just like it was before you installed anything.

Yes the tilt 2 has touchflo 3D, and I turned it off, but i still couldn't delete ( maybe just a error on my part cause I did this before i read your replies)
So I hard reset it, backed up the manila file installed your weather program set my town then "soft reset" it, and it seemed to be good until I i tried to send a txt then i kept getting a "tmail.exe' error" so then I uninstalled your program and soft reset it twice and now it seems fine now, should i check or do anything? Thanks for your help! and no ive never flashed a ROM b4

The program doesn't do anything related to tmail.

It is an executable than manipulates a sqlite database inside 1 manila files.
It changes the registry to identify a different URL to get weather info. Without this, it hits a URL that won't support custom cities.
It does not use or change any DLLs supplied by HTC.

When you exited the weather program, did you use the right soft button Menu and then select Exit?
Or did you click the X to close it?
And then manually restart TouchFLO 3D?

If you used the X to close it, then the program would actually still be running minimized.

After installing the program did you soft reset of restart the device?

I'm thinking that the soft resets were more of what cured the problem than uninstalling the program. There's just nothing supplied with the program that could do anything.

I know there are users that are using this with a Tilt 2 or at the very least a Touch Pro 2. Maybe one of them can help.

Getting much closer to release.

Logic modified on start up to disable Touch FLO or Sense, but only if enabled.

When using the SIP, it now moves things up based on Visable Area.

Before I release, I am going to make sure the edit field that has focus is visible when the SIP is displayed.

I had kind of forgotten that the normal keyboard does work and there is a scroll bar.

At some point I might make a landscape layout that displays all without the need for scroll bars, but that might be in another version.

Discovered that some ROMs have registry entries in the Today Plugins for both Sense and TouchFLO, so I can't rely on that to determine what to start on Exit.
