Hero and Funambol sync

I have tried the funambol syncing on Hero and it synced the contacts but caused the People app to crash every time I start it. After a factory reset I tried again but the same thing.

Has anyone tried the funambol sync on Hero? Same results?

I've tried funambol against the html server-module for opensync/multisync to enable sync with Evolution's addressbook on a linux box. It connects, but the dialog stops after the server acknowledges the connection (checked with packet trace).

I use an account in the funambol server (my.funambol.com) to sync my old SE V800, then, I can restore all my contact using the beta Sync Android client app from this server to my Hero. I can only sync my contacts. The android client application failed many time.

But, after deleting some duplicate entries, the job was done. I don't have to create all the contacts I have on my V800.

Same problem! Actually, the sync was so slow and it doubled up on the number of contacts aldready on the phone, that I had to turn it off. Afterward People would crash each time....

What I had to do to sync my old contacts from my broken Diamond, was to sync Funambol to Outlook and sync Outlook with Hero.

I will try to contact the guys at funambol to investigate this problemm but if anyone of you guys have some better contact at funambol dev team / community pleas tell them about this problem!
