[ROM] Change the perfected SPL HBOOT 1.33.0010 to 1.33.0009

Hi all,

Finally today I got my hands on two RUU_Sapphire: Singapore ROM and Indonesia ROM with S=OFF!

For those who have been looking for ways to root HBOOT 1.33.0010, this might be your ticket.

My HTC Magic initially was HBOOT 1.33.0010 and did not come with any Google applications (no Android Market either). After update, it is now running with HBOOT 1.33.0009 and all Google applications are there including the Android Market. Exchange sync is also available.

Steps that I did:
1. You must have the HTC Sync software installed and working before running the RUU application.
2. Turn phone on and connect to computer with USB cable.
3. Run RUU_Sapphire_HTC_Asia_WWE_2.53.707.2_SEA_test_sign ed_NoDriver.exe. This turned the S=ON to S=OFF. Follow instruction to Update ROM.
4. Phone will reboot.
3. Run RUU_Sapphire_HTC_Asia_WWE_2.16.707.3_SG_release_si gned_NoDriver.exe

I uploaded both RUU in RapidShare. Could someone pls download and re-host the files elsewhere coz RapidShare only allows 10 downloads of each files.

Seems like a much simpler way to get past the "Perfected SPL".

Running these steps will make the MyTouch 3G as simple to root as any other 32B right?

AFAIK..this for 32A, don;t know if it will work on 32B

As lesjaw pointed out, this is only for 32A board. I believe MyTouch 3G uses 32B board.
