O2 UK marketplace server does not connect

Is this a normal thing to happen??

I have a htc hero, unlocked on O2 UK and i can not get on the marketplace at all even though i have setup a google account with the browser and everything.

Does seem strange to me.

I have moved from a HTC Diamond, and im loving this this phone, this is the only strange problem i can find,

I have read that i sometimes matters if google has registered the carrier's or something. Is this the case with O2

If you have this phone and you are on O2 let me know your experiences

But my internet connection is fine works with my pop addresses and the browser fine strange

Did you sign in with your google details when you started your phone for the first time? Some people have had problems doing it at a later date. My mate did a hard reset and then it worked (by using the first time wizard).

No not done a hard reset I was thinking along similar lines as you guys series a software bug there.

I don't really need it and can't be bothered doing a hard reset just yet ill keep it in mind though for when I do though cheers peeps

Market works for me too on a Sim Free Hero on my o2 contract sim.
