Default Missing Texts/SMS

On stock T-Mobile G2 I seem to be missing some SMS's from my wife. This has happened on at least two occasions and she has received a delivery report each time. Yesterday this happened when she was sat next to me on a train and sent me a text. In each case I had used the phone recently for text or voice and was using it for 'other things' e.g. in an app or a menu, and had signal. Anyone else noticed this?

Well, thats strange cos thats exactly what I am suffering from. two separate people apparently sent me a text which I never received them and don't know where it had gone. Just about to look at "3" help to see if there is anything there about it, but looked like I am not the only one and it isn't network related.

I have "sms popup" to notify me of any messages - I was thinking that might have broke something. do you have sms popup installed?

(using sim free hero)

The very first text I (should have) received was eaten, too. I honestly have no idea how many others are missing because I haven't talked to the people I have been texting yet.

That was before I had any apps installed at all.

Well I have lots of apps installed but never 'SMS popup'. Problem happened again this eve- Mrs texted when I was on the tube (out of signal). She got a 'pending' and a 'delivered' report. I got squat. As she points out, texting is a core function that you need to be able to rely on. Any ideas what we can do to get this bug addressed? What ROM are people using?

Firmware version: 1.5

Baseband Version: 63.18.55.06U_6.35.04.25

Kernel version: 2.6.27-a5504199 htc-kernel@and18-2 #521

Build number: 1.76.405.6 146733 CL#47214 release-keys

Software version: 1.0.0.A6288

Come to think of it, I was texting back and forth with someone the other day and they never replied to a question (my last text to them). They are usually very reliable about replying... uh oh :/

Just adding my missing texts too.

No SMS pop up installed and 100% sure they were sent.

Missed at least two!

My firmware shows the same labels as kiz

@ Sku11y : what does your firmware labels say? (although to be honest this seems like an HTC rather than network customisation issue)
