Keyboards by Beagz Donut ports begin! 10/15/09

As per request here are some keyboards made by me. Some are newer, Some are really old. If you want anything or need one made or modified please drop a note here or PM me.

Easy step-by-step installation.
NO ADB, NO TERMINAL needed.


1) Go into settings, Locale and Text and make sure Touch Input (if you have it) is NOT checked.
2) Copy or download the zip file to your sdcard and use astro to browse it.
3) click on the HTC_IME file and select uninstall (if only install is available skip ahead to step 6)
4) follow the prompts to uninstall the keyboard
5) go back into astro and browse the same zip file.
6) click on the HTC_IME file and select install and follow the prompts
7) Go into settings, Locale and Text and make sure Touch Input is CHECKED!

That's it! Enjoy the new keyboard.

Thanks for your patience. It seems that there is a standard now for donut (I know it's been available a couple weeks). I have begun porting and will finish as I have time. Shouldn't take too long.

Are the 2 Latin keyboards transparent? It looks like the wallpaper showing behind them but I can't tell if its that or if they are just designed to look like those wallpapers

I can make a fully transparent background (semi-transparent darkens as you press keys) and semi-transparent keys (already have em handy) If that is what you are after.

I make no guarantees as to what effects that might produce. Let me know if you are interested.

Note: Tested fully transparent. Discovered why it doesn't work. Everytime you press a key a new layer is drawn on top of the old one. So as soon as you press a key the transparency disappears and you can see the other key in the background. So even the slightest opacity is multiplied with each keypress. I cannot change the way it is drawn, sorry.

I would be interested! Lol. and many many thanks for implementing this great idea. I always thought it would be so awesome to be able to theme the touch input keyboard.

Hey OP, cud u take xRom's newest keyboard n just make the outlines transparent ? so its only the keys u c ? plz consider this request as it wud b an awesome keyboard.

Beagz those KB's are sick man. I wish I could use them but I don't think I can cause I'm on Drizzy's HERO.
