I just decided to try and bring the latest builds to the athena, I love the device but due to lack of options mine was sat in a cupboard at home doing nothing.

so i flashed right before...

i would do some modifications...

-the usb connection don´t popup after connecting to the pc (no choice between AS, drive option etc.)
-i looks like opera was implemented before in this rom. so i have the a choice between ie and opera in the vueflow settings menu???
-the start menu is little slow in scrolling should be the not engineered graphics driver... so i would change to old style for stock.
-due to the new lower button bar there is no choice for exiting opera mobile build 16070 (for my choice the best one actual). i will try in the next minutes to install the lastest known htc task manager... i think this will solve this... (will write the result soon)EDIT: Htc task manager works but the Postions of the clock is fixed in the upper bar so the task manager is right behind the time... ARGH
-quickgps is an old version (only 3 days caching) theres a newer one out with about 6days gps data saving which works
-another thing i found: sometimes there is a little zoom window there... where can i disable this???

Micrsoft myphone, in progs and settings - This is not my doing, it seems to be that way from m$ my blackstone is exactly the same

Bottom bar issues I think are caused by the extra 18pix to put all new buttons etc. Not
much I can do as this is part and parcel of the new UI

Input settings, if you tap and hold on the bottom keyboard button when keyboard is out it will pop up a small input menu.(will look into this as well)

I have not suffered any lockups/freezes as of yet and have used same combination with ie and wifi

thanks for the update.....I think its time you start giving your roms names now

yeah, I know about the click and hold onto the keyboard button, but that only brings up the sip chooser, but the problem I'm having is that I can't get to the settings.

the freeze ups are most likely my doing as I've done a lot of reg changes.

all in all, it is good. I'm looking forward to your next release

I was thinking the same thing, it's kind of right in your face when you want to change some options really fast. annoying is what it is, I don't know why msft would implement this without an easy way to disable it....

it looks like its a dumped rom. so there was a user before who changed settings or programms in it...

Edit: i do some hardcore testing to the rom...
camera works, but after saving 1 or 2 pics there are many graphic errors in the preview. could be caused due to an old htc camera package...

USB Popup - Will try and inc. into next build
Opera - Will be in next build (9.7b)
StartMenu - Cannot be changed, its a feature of 6.5
Task Manager/Clock - Again this is due to new build by m$ not my doing, try searching I am sure others have had the same problem.
Quick GPS - Will look for later package
Zoom Window - I have a cab to disable, will upload in first post
Camera - Will try and update in next build

Its not a dumped rom as far as I know, it is built from the sys and xip released in Da_G's tread in dev and hacking.

hmm, I dont' seem to be having any problems with the camera taking pictures or when previewing them....

i think the zoom window comes from the zoom bar which is not correctly displayed on some devices...

if you include opera í think a 9.5 version would be better and more stable.

-in the start menu there´s a link called "microsoft tag". after activating the device freezes...

question: lol i figured out that menues in the new start menu can be sortet new by tapping, holding, moving... is this new or in all wm6.5 versions included? could be that i´m little late in this feature???

The zoom can be disabled by using uploaded zip on first post

9.5 is ok with me, I find the 9.7b beta faster but few bugs

Microsoft tag can be removed, or download the latest cab from microsoft

The menu drag and drop is a newer feature than the old "move to top" in early 6.5 builds
