The new update is fast, although I seem to get a lot of pop-ups with messages like 'android.something.acore' has stopped etc. I don't know why or what happens, because the phone works pretty much the same even after the processes or services crashes

Its strange, the Clock doesn't flip any more, but if you choose other HTC clocks, they still swing their hands round when they come into view.

Question Official Upgrade = SIM Lock?

Hi all!

Heard a lot of good things about the Orange ROM update. Still a little skeptical though on upgrading....

I've got an Orange htc Hero which was gifted to me by a friend coming from the UK, Its SIM unlocked but not too sure of what will happen if I update the ROM... it may revert to being SIM locked to Orange...

+ I want to find out how my Hero was SIM unlocked... any way to do that? from the forum searches I see that we can either buy codes, get Orange to do it or
do some weird stuff with a serial cable.... in either case, how do I find out which way it has been SIM unlocked?

Any one facing the same predicament?

Cheers,

Z
