I can understand your frustration and hope that you continue developing, even though you havn't recieved any cash for it!

Peace!
I probably shuldn't have even logged on this week. The grandma of my girlfriend / practically wife of 5.5 years had a stroke and is in hospice. We've been at the hospital until 2am, somtime 4am almost everyday, and I still have been working. For my real job, I am a software engineer, so I am used to getting paid for my work, and pretty well at that.

What have I learned from the development of the 4 column program tab and the weather city editor?

If you want to make any money from donations, you need to make ROMs. And if you are a developer, you are better off not sharing things that you develop, but instead put them in your ROM.

I am seriously considering buying an iPhone and the needed hardware and software to develop for it. There is actually a business plan so developers can make money and get some conpensation for their work.

It woud be great if xda had something like a donate to developers and then payouts to developers would be made based on collected revenue and the number of downloads. The problem is that people don't just want to donate a dollar. But they think 5 or 10 is too much and I'd agree. But if they donated $10 toward all the things they download, they might just do it.

My 2 cents on that.

Anyway sorry for snapping at you.

True! In a way atleast. I believe that it would be better if ROM-makers had to pay the developers for what they use instead. It's hard to take cash from users when they only use an app for them selves, but when a ROM-maker takes your app, puts in a ROM and then decides to publish it, it's a completely different thing.

Well, if the cash is what you do it for then...

Would be awsome. But then everyone had to donate to XDA first.. Without those donations they wouldn't be able to pay developers.

Apology accepted.. We are all human... Lets take the above discussion to PM if you want/need to continue (not that I can in any way do anything about how things are.) and let the tread focus about the ROM, which actually is good!

This has bugged me on just about every ROM I have used. Is there any way to disable the tf3d2.1 messanging app and use the standered wm one?

Bah, this should be advertised by default. The TF3d2 SMS app is buggy, especially when I open a message in landscape, then switch to portrait to use the keyboard.

Okay one more post for bed time.

The audio cab fix is making my fuze's speakers go wild. The audio is definitely louder, but needs a way to tune it back some. It's too loud and distorts the audio from the speakers.
Device: HTC Desire
