go to start/system and start microsoft device mobile center manually. (this service doesnt start automatic unless you set it to via services, I think)

Hi,

i have a few questions to this ROM.
Perhaps someone can help me...

I am using the Energy ROM on my Touch Diamond 2 (Energy.TOPAZ.29022.Sense2.5.GER.Cookie.2.0.Jul.07 .7z). It works good so far.
But I have one question: Is the bluetooth driver the original one from stock ROM? Do you know which one it is?
I have one problem with bluetooth:
I connect my TD2 to my car hands free kit. It works as it should with 2 problems:

1. I cannot manage that the ring tone will be played via hands free kit (but the kit could do normaly)
2. I try to use Microsoft Voice Command 1.6. Most of the time, after activating the voice control, the external microphone is dead. That means, that the internal microphone of the TD2 is active. BUT, sometimes it works (most after a reboot of the TD2). I tried already to set the 'Capabilities' to 1519 (after that I will see my signal indication in my hands free display...)
In my bluetooth settings, my hands free device has the following services:
Bluetooth-Headphone
Serial Adapter
Hands Free (All free translated from German, so maybe light different in English)
I tried also to deactive the Bluetooth-Headphone - no difference..

Do you have any ideas what settings I can change to activate the external microphone (all the time)?
It would be also ok, if 'everything' from or to the phone goes over hands free device (also in mono, because I don't hear music via bluetooth...)

Thanks in advance

Anyone got a problem with moTweets and Energy.TOPAZ.29022.Sense2.5.Cookie.2.0.sencity.Jul .04?
Has been happening ever since I flashed that ROM and I'm fed up now.

I flash it, install my paid moTweets Version, works fine for a while. After maybe a month it'll start to display "Error: Login to Twitter failed" sometimes. And a week or two later it'll just always display this error, rendering the program useless.
Completely removing the program (files and registry) doesn't help and I'm not even able anymore to create a new profile. i type in my login data but just nothing happens. Only solution? Reflash the ROM. But I really don't feel like doing this every 2 months.

Anybody using the voice recorder app built into Energy's ROM? I have been lately, recording data about POIs to edit Openstreetmap with, but with mixed success.

No other software was running on the device, just tried to record my speakings:
- sometimes I get only 6 byte long files (too bad I did not have a binary look into them, but deleted them too fast)
- sometimes there the files are long enough, but contain only absolute silence
- one day the sound in all files was choppy, it was difficult to understand anything
- that same day at some point the device freezed completely, when I tried to record

I did have a quick look for alternatives to see if they would work better, but all links I stumbled over have deceased over time. I'm trying now keep-recordin' from axyzmobile (couldn't post as link).

Anyway all hints are welcome.

It had been over 5 months in this thread without a post. If you have a specific problem, provide details. Then maybe someone can help.

More than likely any problem you have is solved in this thread or another Energy ROM thread. Or, it is not solvable, because many Windows Mobile features just don't work anymore. Twitter and Facebook have different authentication now and the Marketplace is shut down. Also, the weather server that the weather tab uses has been shut down for about a year.

I'm still using my TD2. In the beginning I wasn't that satisfied (especially with the UI of the calling software itself), but I got used to it as a whole. It's a pity that there isn't any development nor a big community left. Anyway, I run into two issues lately, no big ones anyway.

Camera: I just reached 999 images. But even as the counter in the filename has 4 digits (example: IMAG0992.jpg), when reaching 0999, the mobile didn't use 1000 as next number, but did search for breaks in the numbering (when I maybe deleted a few images) and used these numbers. Another similar issue occurred some time ago, when the mobile didn't find the SD-card, it then saved the images on the main memory in the dcim-folder there, but used a different name: IMAGE_445.jpg. That's a bit strange. The first issue is bugging me more anyways.

Handling of flash-SMS (or something like this): Lately I was at holiday in Poland, and I bought a prepaid-SIM-card (Tak tak). But when I tried to retrieve the balance with something like *100#, I got an flash-SMS, which offered several options (1, 2, 3,...). This SMS just did look like a menu. I'm not sure, but it looked like I would have to choose one of these options at this state, but I couldn't bring up the keyboard. But I may have misunderstood something, since I couldn't understand the polish texts for these options, maybe there were also some instructions what to do, if not pressing these numbers immediately.

Voicerecorder: As I mentioned some postings above, I installed a few alternative voice recorders and did not run into any problems anymore, though that I did not use it that often anymore.
