Default CDMA hacking?

So, I am considering getting this phone for Sprint. Is the hacking possibility totally gimped, relative to the GSM version? Can custom roms be used on the CDMA version? WinMo 6.5?

Thanks.

Over on PPCGeeks there seems to be indication that a custom ROM will be released very soon.

CMonex at PPCgeeks has a CDMA version in hand and it working on the HSPL. Once she gets that there are multiple roms fully cooked (obviously not tested though) for your pleasure. SO, its not gimped at all, we just have to wait for the HSPL break before having our little fun. The same as every other phone.

The good people of the CDMA Rhodium Elite Team are working on it. They provide updates here ->http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=78887.

It seems that cmonex has been working on it since mid-August, not too sure how much more time is needed. But I suggest we be patient, in the mean time show some love and donate to them HERE.

I wouldn't mind donating, but I wish they would post some updates. Even if there is nothing new to add, a "keepalive" update is nice to have.

Insp. Jacques Clouseau: Let me bring you up to speed... We know nothing. You are now up to speed.
