Default 2800 mA extended battery pics

Hi,

On Monday I have received this 2800 ma extended battery ordered few days before:
http://cgi.ebay.fr/HTC-TOUCH-PRO-2-I...d=p3286.c0.m14

Some pics of the thing plugged on my phone are attached.

So, ok I must admit, the phone looks is heavier but it doesn't feel really bulkier on hands.
The main drawback is that the stylus is harder to pull, you'll have to stop bitting your nails to get it

The finish it not that bad for the price you paid. it's the same glossy one as the original back cover.

Regarding the battery life, I got it on Monday evening, now it's Friday morning and I still get 10%!!! My use is above average with push on windows mail / gmail (since 2 days), internet, some calls/ sms, music through A2DP...
Whatever, I feel the battery life is at least 2 times the stock 1500ma battery.

I think it worth the try especially for the price!
By the way, I just saw a 3000ma battery on ebay this morning. The back cover looks better but the seller has "0" feedback.

Thanks. Can you show us a picture of the back, where the loudspeaker is please? and let us know how it goes in terms usage. -This could be great for short trips instead of bringing a charger.

2nd the picture on the back, and while your at it one of the bottom please. Nobody is making one for sprint yet (we have the 3.5mm jack), and I'm wondering if a little dremmel work on the new back cover would make it fit my phone.
Thanks!

I've had more then my fair share of experience buying non-oem batteries and it has never been pleasant. At most, I only get a few months out of them before they start draining really fast or fail to charge to 100%. For only 15 quid, I'm skeptical as ever.

Please report back your results in a month or so.

I posted a review on another site, so I will paste part of it here with some pics.

I bought one of these off eBay and it was advertised for the T-Mobile Touch Pro2. While the battery fit, the cover did not. (The T-Mobile Touch Pro2 has a really thin battery cover.)

I was wondering how that error was made.

Now on seeing this post and your pics, well... it's that the cover the seller sent to me was for the European Touch Pro2 model (and U. S. Sprint, AT&T and Verizon?)

My cover looks exactly like the one in the pictures, so I know that it is the same one .

I contacted the seller and he said to send him pics of the issue so he could inform the engineers. I humored him and sent the pics, never to hear from him again. He wanted me to pay for return shipping to get a refund. Since it was a $25 purchase I just said forget about it and left him negative feedback.

Now as to the item, the battery seems well made (I tested it while the phone was sitting on my desk. I just could not take it anywhere since I did not have a proper cover.)

But be warned, while the cover looks OK in the pics, it is cheap soft pliable plastic. To me it looks and feels like it will warp over time or parts of the plastic will suffer fatigue damage.

It attaches (near as I can tell) via small protrusions around the phone where it clips on. Since it's cheap plastic I can envision the clips breaking or warping. Leave it in the hot sun, on a car sear or dashboard, I suspect the cover will warp, if not melt.

All said and done, since the battery works well (so far, in my limited testing) it is worth the price I paid ($25 shipped.) It says on the package there is a 12 month warranty. Does that mean it will be worth the expense to ship the return and pay for shipping a replacement back to you (probably $30), probably not.

Default Batter 2800

I also got this battery with cover for my Vodafone TP2. Sure plactic is cheap (I cannot tell that original back cover is much better...), but hole for stylus disappointed me at all- I have to use pen or scissors to extract it out. Better do not leave it thee at all.
Anyway battery works longer.

I am much content with replacement battery 1600mAH which lasts longer than original (bought on UK ebay , too).
