There are piles of threads about this already.

Verizon will work on TMobile with the SIM unlock. However, as far as I can tell you can't do TMobile or AT&T 3G data on them... you're stuck with the slower EDGE service.

Call up global support (800) 711-8300 and tell them you will be travelling overseas shortly and youll be needing to get the sim unlock code to use a sim from another carrier. Theyll give you an 8 digit code. Be very careful when putting it in, and dont hang up until your hone has been unlocked. If youre sure you put it in right and it comes up invalid tell them that, dont try again, and theyll give you the second code. If you keep trying to put in the wrong code, the phone will time out, and its a pain waiting for it to unlock.
