what do you mean "updated radio?" for the other issue, what rom are you running on this phone, what is the average time it take for it to randomly reboot, and finally have you tried to un-root and see if it does it on stock?

By updated radio I mean the radio that you need to root and it takes a while to reboot by itself and I am on a stock g1

there are only 2 radios for the g1, one is the pre-1.5 firmware radio which starts with a 1, and the 2.22.19.26I, any phone that ships with 1.5 will have that radio, also since your phone is already stock, i would imagine it is related to the phone itself, call your provider and tell them the phone they sent you is jacked up.
