Default Good at photoshop?

:[
I don't know what it is about posting on here but my browser crashes each time I write something thorough. :|

Any who to be short and save myself from tossing this computer I've been talking with the Dev of Handcent [it's a sms/mms application] about making an experimental new build with a new UI.

I like using handcent because it shows the users photo next to there name and sub text underneath it from the last message sent.

And my idea for a new UI falls along the lines of the dev of Buka and Totem? And recently Radiant. At the home screen it has a gallery button and it has a sliding UI similar to the Ipod touch album chooser and HTC Hero's Album chooser as well.

What the Idea is it to make the contact photo like the album, and then place the users text underneath it.

I drew my own crude version of it below, [this is why I'm asking if you're good at photo shop, I clearly don't have the first hint on using it.] and I'll include the Ipod touch's UI

And just for some talk back what do you guys thing about this idea?
I personally see it like this:
Slide to select the users photo, then when it's set and locked on the user text falls down in an animated way then piles up correctly like the threaded text does.

Then to view someone else you'd select the photo and here is where my idea splits.
I'm not too sure if I'd like the screen to rotate in a 3d square like motion or just slide like the album covers.

Of course I know there's plenty work to be had about this and it would take a lot of CPU and for good contact photos it would have to be a place in handcent to assign them and not based off of the Google image you have since that can only be blown up and that makes it blurry.

And of course I am not a dev at all!

So if you'd like to make this image I'd appreciate it :]
And mind you the proportions of portrait and landscape.

And so far here is the work of some friends and forum people that have helped me along with this idea.

I think thats actually a pretty cool idea for a messaging UI. I'll try to draft something up as well but one thing I would like to point out in the development of this is to also have an option for list selection. While this is cool for one or two conversations, if you have to scroll through many it "could" be annoying depending on how smooth the sliding between photos goes. Awesome idea anyway. I cant wait to see it.

Well now that I have more time to type.
In my orginal email to the dev I also throgh that in as well.
I thought about it like how Google maps has the list selection at the bottom left corner.

But overall I think we all could be productive here and help the dev with a guideline of how we see it and be supportive :]
Or maybe he'll read here and pick and choose.

Here is my mock-up. I chose to do it in like the hand-drawn example above, with chat-room style texts instead of bubbles.

Yup, my pleasure. If you guys use most or all of it as a design, could you just throw me in a credit somewhere?
