Default Windows Mobile 6.5 Rom upgrade for the sprint version Help!!

Hello I am new to the forums. I was wondering, I have the sprint TP2 and wanted to upgrade to the WM 6.5. Is it possible to do this? I was reading through the forums but was unsure if this was able to be done for the CDMA versions yet. If so what Flashing utility is the best to use and also what ROM and radio is the best. I have never upgraded before and could use your help. Thank you for your help

Sprint has said that they will not officially release an update until early 2010. [pcmag.com]

Apparently you didn't read past the first 1/4 of the screen. I can still see 2 windows mobile 6.5 upgrade specific threads on the first page. Make sure you do a search before posting another thread about this.

dude, don't be an ass. It's his first post.

Here's the skinny.

1. When the Official 6.5 update is uncertain. Though PCMag said 2010, I have a hard time believing that with the AT&T Tilt already selling with it. The windows mobile 6.5 update page says Oct/Nov for TP2, but we don't know if that means all versions. I'm guessing it means the different versions of it will be available throughout Oct and Nov. Just a guess.

2. Unofficial upgrades (hacked roms) to 6.5 are not possible for the CDMA version yet (Verizon and Sprint). In order to do it, you need the HardSPL bootloader. This is in development and hasn't been completed yet. When it does, we'll be able to load on any rom we want to the TP2. However, there might be a bit of a learning curve.

Let me know if you need anymore help (maybe PM me) and I'll be happy to.

Here is a couple of suggestions:

The above link is for updates to the completion of HardSPL from PPCGeeks.

If you twitter, follow: mightyrom

Mike is very good on updates and the ROM for my Diamond was as solid as anything. I am sure his Touch Pro 2 ROM will be great as well.

Sprint will be releasing wm 6.5 by the end of November. It isn't Sprint we are waiting on it is HTC we are waiting on.

I would have to see some hard proof on this . There is so much rumor and conjecture, unsubstantiated rumors are something we do not need.
