I wonder if this is only being launched in some areas because I called a few stores today and they had no idea when it was going to be released. Or maybe the reps at AT&T stores around here just haven't got the word yet.

You guys seen the keyboard on the Tilt 2? Ewwww!!!!
The number keys should be on the top row like on the rest of the Rhodiums
Good thing there is a program to remap them...

This has been known for a couple months now, and it is the same layout as the Tilt and Fuze essentially. Unfortunate, but those of us who want a Rhodium with 3G on AT&T don't have a choice.

I can't believe the Tilt 2 is finally almost here, I was totally expecting the 18th, and not such a stealthy launch like this.

I like the number keys the way they are, MUCH faster to type for me.

I posted in a few other threads that October 8th was the release day, where were you guys??

Here is what my business ATT rep sent me that came from ATT corporate:

"Hello Eric,

I figured that I would make your evening!! See below: I have put in Bold the information that will make you happy! Looks like we will be ordering in a couple of days.

Have a great evening!

Channels: Consumer Care, COR, Local Dealer, National Retail, DMDR, and Small Business
Roles: Representative and Above
Markets: All Markets
Contacts: Your Manager

AT&T will launch the HTC Tilt 2 to all channels of distribution on October 8, 2009.

The HTC Tilt 2 has a large, vivid, tilting touch screen that enables easy navigation via the Touch FLO™ 3D interface. The HTC Tilt 2 has an extra-large physical QWERTY keyboard, plus on-screen touch virtual keyboard that works in horizontal or vertical orientation. The HTC Tilt 2 provides a quality speakerphone experience with dual speakers, dual microphones and advanced noise cancellation with StraightTalk™ technology.

The HTC Tilt 2 from AT&T arranges conversations by people, not by the application that used. Users can now see a history of conversations, in whatever form it took place, directly from the contacts list. The HTC Tilt 2 comes loaded with AT&T applications, but users can also download more applications through AT&T’s Appcenter, or from the Windows MarketPlace Mobile store. The HTC Tilt 2 supports quad-band GSM, bi-band HSDPA/UMTS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth."
