Default Verizon HTC TP2 - unintentional phone call answering??? help.

I have the stock Verizon HTC touch pro 2 and carry it in a leather belt pouch. Even with the phone "locked", when a call comes in, I inadvertently answer the call just trying to get the phone out of the pouch. As there are many calls I do not want to answer, is there any way to prevent this, other than turning the phone off? This is ridiculous. A couple of times the phone has answered an incoming call just by the screen making contact with the leather pouch.

I searched the forums for help on this topic, but turned up nothing. Please reply if you have some advice.... any advice.

Pouches with magnets can cause all sorts of problems, in addition to unintentional presses while trying to get the phone out.

I would get a spring lock holster. Verizon has one now. A better one is the spring clip holster made by Seidio . It is not yet available, but they informed me that it should be available in early November. I had one for my xv6800 and it worked like a dream. It's better than the Verizon one, IMO, because it has a spring assembly to hold the retaining piece in place . . . better than the Verizon one that just uses the flexibility of the molded plastic.

I use S2U2 screen lock. It offers both slide to unlock and slide to answer. Haven't had any issues and no accidental answers even though I carry my TP2 naked in my pocket.

If you have the gyrator app, one of the default options is to pick up a call via certain movements. I had all sorts of problems until I removed that action.

You can also block out up to 5 numbers if you're avoiding someone in Verizon's control panel at verizonwireless.com. Its under My Verizon -> My Services -> Verizon Safeguards -> Spam Controls -> Call & Message Blocking. Its good for keeping the ex's and whomever at bay
