Default Email Attachment Question

I have an outlook account for email, which is an exchange server. However it will not active synch because I don't have a certificate. However, I can synch manually without issue. My question, though, is any attachments that I get I cannot open. I have it set to my storage card, but if i go the storage card, it saves it in an unrecognizable format. I will click on it and a message will pop up saying that this file is not any correct format. When I am in the email and I press the attachment it keeps on saying "the attachment will be downloaded the next time you send/receive". Of course this message will appear everytime I click on it, even after hours. Can anyone help me?

Certificate issue: If you set up your Exchange manually, delete it and try automatic setup. It should download the certificate from the server. Also, don't set it up via ActiveSync; instead, do it on the phone, itself, without being tethered to a computer. If you can manually sync, then you should be able to set it to "push" emails by going to Connections > Push and selecting "As they arrive".

Attachments: What is the file type? If you're trying to "execute" a program (cab) file, I don't think it'll let you - total pain in the ass on that.. Also, go into your settings

outlook > ("edit server settings" screen) > Menu > Advanced > (highlight "E-Mail") Settings > ("Download size limit") Entire Message

The error you're receiving I think has to do with the fact that you're not downloading the full email at the time of your initial sync. That's why you should set it to either push the emails (as they arrive) or set a time interval - whatever you choose, you just want to make sure that it's downloading the entire email.
I rage. I can't spell. I'm complicated. You will learn to love me.
