Default Sprint TP2 - lost vibrate on tap

Although I still get a vibrate alert on emails and incoming calls, I lost the short vibrate when tapping tabs, virtual KB or "on call connect." I checked the setting "Vibrate the device when tapping the Tabs, Links, and other onscreen item of supported applications" disabled, enabled, but nothing. Anyone know what happened?

Okay, I figured out that the vibrate on tapping was working just fine. What actually happened is that the intensity of the vibration on my TP2 had faded and could no longer be felt during the short bursts from finger taps. Sprint agreed to do a warranty replacement and the new one was good for about 3 weeks, but has now faded just like my first TP2. Has anyone else noticed that the intensity of the vibrating fades away with time?
