No matter what you think of Windows Phone 6.5, Steve Ballmer himself said that Microsoft hasn't invested enough the past years in the system and that 6.5 is far behind of it's competitors.
So why buy a 6.5 mobile phone, when you know Microsoft isn't happy with the system and that they are working very very hard to get back in the game with Windows Phone 7. I'm was thinking about buying HTC HD2, but I'll just wait until they release a good version of Mobile 7 and continue to use a XDA version of 6.5 on my HTC Kaiser. |

I think that after the IPhone and the Android, Microsoft finally had wake up to the life. They are trying to make a OS that is so touch friendly as is competitors. But in a Portuguese Magazine, In a question to Mr Jacques-Etienne Grandjean, Microsoft Director for Telecom in Western Europe they asked if the fact of if some manufactures had the choise of choosing a OS free or paying for the Microsoft OS, Microsoft had the chance of loosing that manufactures. Simple answer: Talk about the Apple way of selling ther OS and the updates...

I have been using my AT&T Fuze for about eight months now. It is not the perfect phone, but it is a great handheld device.
Both my daughter and son-in-law have iPhones and I have spent quite a bit of time playing with her phone. At first, the finger friendly interface was VERY compelling, especially when I was unfamiliar with the original WinMo 6.1 interface and Touchflow 3D 1. Since then however, I have flashed MANY 6.5 ROMs from the XDA chefs, used TF3D2, and experienced the development of the Windows Phone interface first hand. There have been many improvements from both HTC and Microsoft. I know, some say MS is not really interested in developing their phone market, but I don’t see it that way. The improvement in a finger friendly interface is phenomenal in the short time I have had my Fuze. I have used WinMo devices for years, which is why I chose the Fuze in the first place when I upgraded to the level of the ‘Smart Phone’, and I will have to admit that I was a little disappointed with the original 6.1 interface from AT&T and dazzled with my daughters iPhone, but when I got used to the TF3D interface and could find my way around the WinMo phone, it started to be fun to play with the device. On the other hand, once navigating the Fuze was mastered, the limitations of the iPhone became obvious. Yes, it is finger friendly, but if there isn’t a button for it, you can’t do it. Without hooking it to a computer all you can do is push buttons. It is great for the non-tech person who is only interested in a phone with cute apps, but for ones who want a real hand-held computer, the iPhone is very disappointing. The inability to use a stylus with the capacitive touch screen of the iPhone limits what can be done, even on the larger screen. For fat fingered people, the virtual keyboard is unworkable. The Fuze, with its hardware keyboard, stylus friendly screen and real software KEYBOARD with a number row and Ctl key, make accurate typing very doable, even for the ham handed. Now, with Windows Phone 6.5, many things can be done on the touch screen even with fat fingers. The larger buttons and thoughtfully laid out menus allow real work to be done without using the stylus. HTC and Microsoft are heading in the right direction with Windows Phone and the improvements that are being developed with 6.5 assure us that we will not be disappointed when Windows Phone 7 hits the streets.
