The mySpot application provides access to the Spotify service on the Windows Mobile platform via an intermediate proxy.
Requires a QVGA, VGA or WVGA device running Windows Mobile Professional (Pocket PC) 6.0 or higher (see the additional requirements below). ![]() Features: > Full implementation of the Spotify search and top list functions > Play list support - easy access to all your favourite tracks (up to 150 tracks per play list) > Choose your own media player - define how each track is played (GSPlayer (free) and PocketPlayer are recommended*) > Album artwork shown by preference Please be aware: whilst mySpot is a beta release it may not function as expected all of the time. The service may be unavailable at times. Testing is continuously being carried out to improve the performance and usability. All user feedback is welcome during this stage. *PocketPlayer seems to peform the most reliably with the current version of mySpot Requirements: > The .NET 2.0 Compact Framework (which is bundled with Windows Mobile Professional 6.0 and above) > A Premium Spotify Account (register at http://www.spotify.com) > A media player that supports the ogg audio format and streaming (eg. GSPlayer, PocketPlayer or CorePlayer) To verify that the media player on your mobile device supports ogg encoding - please use the test stream http://tinyurl.com/mySpotTest *** Whilst playing a track this application can use a considerable amount of bandwidth - please ensure you use it via an unlimited data policy *** User feedback is always appreciated and should help to improve the usability of future releases. mySpot is a freeware application. Any donation towards the project will be gratefully received. ![]() This application implements Spotify® Core but is not endorsed, certified or otherwise approved by Spotify. The term Spotify is a registered trade mark of the Spotify Group. Currently mySpot is a beta release. Installation and use of the application is at the user's own discretion. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the application is stable, there is no guarantee it will be compatible with every device / platform. Latest version: 0.64b Please note: due to a bug in version 0.20a the mySpot application will not auto update to a later version. You will need to download the latest version manually to update from 0.20a. Updates: v0.64b > Play lists are now initialised from the device cache to improve load times > Only the first 150 tracks (in a play list) are read to prevent connection time outs > Splash screen added > Various other minor bug fixes v0.62b > Fixed a bug in Options menu that prevented selection of media player > Improved responsiveness of navigation menu (top list categories) v0.60b > Connectivity addressed - server connections should be more reliable > Track refresh added (via the info panel) to address incomplete / corrupt streams > Play list refresh button added (top-right) to allow full re-sync with Spotify server > Correct message now displayed when a search yields no results v0.55b > Fixed a bug which prevented some tracks from playing v0.50b > Play list supported added > Improved cache intelligence (faster load times) > Icon navigation replaces text menus v0.25a > Fixed a bug related to the search function > Auto update feature now works correctly v0.20a > Initial release Last edited by FryWalker; 18th January 2010 at 04:53 PM.. |

Room for improvements, surely, but how can I complain? I'm playing tracks from spotify on my Touch HD! Yay!!
Wishlist: Playlist and internal .ogg-playback. Bugs: Sometimes when I play a track, return to myspot, select a new track is says that it cannot connect to myspot-servers or something, and asks if I have another spotify session running (perhaps on a different computer). I just restart myspot and it's just fine. BTW: connect to myspot servers? Why do I need to get in contact with any other servers then spotifys? Donated £5. I know, it's not much, but more to follow if this application reaches it's potential ![]() Kent Last edited by kentpaulsen; 5th November 2009 at 03:28 PM.. |
