Default [KITCHENS+ROMS] [WWE] [Nov.04.2009] WM6.5 23506 - Sorry NOT FOR P3600i!

23506 BETA Download bottom of this post

This is the new WM6.5 23506 - I'm Starting with a BETA - I need feedback please so I can create a working version... As this is a BETA, there will probably be some issues with it. As always, Back Up Your Data!

Only download and install this version if you like to tinker and deal with possible problems. So far, it's been good, aside from the below issue.

I just had an issue a few moments ago. My phone was off, (So I Thought). It was checking my Gmail account, then went to sleep during the download, then froze while it was off for about 1 hour. It drained about 1/4 of my battery and I had to Soft Reset to get it back. Please beware there MAY be issues, or this could have been one of those rare & wonderful WM glitches that happens occasionally.

I was going to try to fix the problems in the previous 23504 ROM, but I've been using 23506 for a bit today. It seems to be VERY Responsive, Stable, and has Plenty of memory available (Some things seem REALLY Fast). I have cooked a Stock ROM with a couple "SuperSport" mods, (Mostly Visual), and it is looking like 25.76MB Free Ram (20-22 after a few hours) and 67.14MB Free Storage. This is leaving in SkyMarket, Live, Themes, Ringtones, and all the WM Widgets. The only things I removed are AutoUpdate (Does Nothing Anyways), MSTag (Not Compatible with Trinity Camera), and some extra files for other resolutions. Otherwise, as it was made. Oh, I changed some Images for my Theme. I may create a Cab to put all images back to stock if I get time. This will probably be a highly requested option.

Pin Lock appears to work properly now. I know a few of you will like that.

I plan to release the Stock ROM tonight as a BETA so that I can get feedback. My phone's WiFi is still broken, so Please test it, and I'd like feedback on the BT File Transfer. I can see some of the files are there, but don't know if it's working.

I don't have a lot of time to test everything on this, so would appreciate help with that. When I get enough feedback, I'll fix what I can and release a couple flavors of it.

I'm really proud of this one. It's the first one where I did not borrow a completed SYS/XIP from someone else. I assembled this one myself, so everything is as it should be and very clean. Also could be a Train Wreck.

One pet peeve: HoneyComb is Back! Eewww I'll try to figure out how to get rid of that for those who want.

Thanks to everyone for your feedback, good and bad. I'm trying to make our Trinity run a little longer...

PS: Because I have no idea how to move them, I've got 127 Modules in Slot #0 and 254 in Slot #1. Not sure if it would help or hurt to move them as it runs really nice now. Maybe it would be REALLY fast if moved?[/COLOR][/I]"

Each Different Version will be listed with a Download Link for each. In each Download Link I will post the Self Extracting Kitchen, an RUU_Signed.nbh, and an AutoFlash file.

What is AutoFlash you ask? I've taken the RUU file, added the Flashing Program, and Packaged it all up into an AutoExecuting AutoFlashing Program, and, it's a smaller download than the RUU alone. Pretty cool huh? Yes, others have already done this, but I'm going to make it a standard practice from now on.

"AutoFlash (tm), Making Flashing Socially Acceptable, One Package at a Time!"

My recommendation for Flashing is:

Make sure you have Hard SPL on your Phone. I recommend Olipro 1.20 - Click Here for More Info
Be sure your battery is at least 50% full.
Start your phone in Tri Color Screen mode. Steps below
--Unplug your phone from USB
--Hold down the Power & Camera Buttons
--While still holding them down, press the Reset Button using the Stylus
--Release the Reset Button, but continue to hold the Power/Camera buttons until you see the Tri Color Screen
--Plug in the USB cable (if asked about installing a driver, do this), You should see USB in the White Box)

Now you can Flash.
Run the AutoFlash file for the ROM you've selected, or Flash using the Standard Flashing Program included in the Kitchen.

Enjoy!

DOWNLOAD

Dear Supersport

Flashed the 23506 and have following observations:
1) PIN lock works
2) WIFI works
3) Communication manager when started from top bar does not start and had to start wifi fro connections.
4) Microsoft My Phone program is old one and have new cab file on my storage card so that I don't have to download again and again.
Will post further feedback tomorrow morning about battery performance and PIN lock problem, if any.

No, Videocall is something I'll have to add. This is just a Stock Version of the OS that does not include Video Calling. That feature is all but gone on most newer phones, I'm assuming. So, for the Trinity, we add it back in using an old dialer from our original OEM ROMs. This will come later when I get a chance to make different flavors of this ROM.

PS: Glad the WiFi is working for you. I hope it's the same for everyone. 23504 Varied from user to user.

Same thing here. CommManager is not included with the Stock OEM ROM as it is probably different from phone to phone. That will also be added in on future versions.

I'm glad to hear the other two things work.

I'm having a little trouble with my phone hanging during Email stuff. Anybody else experiencing this? Since my Radio is Bunged up, I'm not sure if it's just me...

Anybody get a chance to try BT File Transfer? Is it there or working? EDIT: My initial test tells me this is probably not working...

Cabs in First Post. Unfortunately, I ran out of Attachment Slots (Max 8), so I zipped them together as Grid.zip Attached here seperately.
