Recommend cases/skins for G1

Hi guys, I've had my G1 for about half an year now and I'm thinking of getting some soft skin or a case for my phone. I'm currently using a vertical GOLA case with vecro made of fiber, and it's UGLY. I'm thinking of getting a nicer case, maybe leather, but I'm worried about the magnets.
The other thought is getting a soft snap on case, but they don't seem too pretty and add some thickness to the device.

I'm totally amazad by this last one - there is an youtube video and the thing looks awesome! It doesn't protect the phone , so I'm thinking this + some sort of pouch/case with belt strap on.

So. What skin/case/pouch are you using?

if u have white,then i recommend getting a white battery cover,then zaggs invisible shield.

i personally like the look of the phone as it is,and the zagg invisible shield will protect the phone from scratches and add a little more gloss. plus the shield comes with a lifetime warranty,so u can just always receive a replacement

but i recommend getting a leather holster as well

Gee thanks. It seems they have dropped the price of the ZAGG. It costs about 20$ with shipping to where I live. Did you take a look ath the RAKISIS skins I posted - they look like "the ****" for pimping the G1

Where would I find a white battery door? The gold one that comes stock doesn't match and I find it ugly.

its gold? its actually silver but under certain lighting conditions,it looks gold. but u can get a white g1 battery cover on ebay... they're not being sold at the moment,but ebay does have them whenever they are in stock.

i just bought a leather case with magnets for my g1

is that whole magnet thing true that it messes up the compass?

i think i bought it from the t-mobile store for around 40 bucks? silly Rogers up here in Canada doesnt offer any cases, had to pick this guy up when i was visiting the US.

its a tad thick but it protects the phone very well. has a nice feel to it and fits very snug around the phone..

No way I'm putting such an ugly thang on my phone. Sorry man. I had a pocket pc before and bought a similar case. Yes, it provides premium protection, but makes the phone uncomfortable, ugly and very very thick. I will probably go for the invisible shield, although I hear some bad things about it - that it peels off, it's hard to install and doesn't feel good. I'm also tempted by those golden and silver vinyls that I posted.

I bought a Skin for my Dream... from www.bestskinsever.com . It's exactly like the invisible shield, but it kind of covers the device better. My phone is white, thus i wouldn't recoment it for a white phone, because it gets yellowy after a while, so if you have the bronze/black version, it would be like the best choice for it's price. i took it off after a month and there were no signs on the phone, it was like brand new.
