Help with a few "problems"

There are som things I find pretty annoying about the HD 2....

First of all, where does the E-mails I read end up? When I have read them for the first time and continue to use the phone for some time, they just disappears!

Another thing is that I don't feel I have controll over which connection the phone is using at all time. I don't know weither or not it uses the 3g nett or wifi connection. And I haven't found any way to select this in the Opera browser(good browser though)

Is there pherhaps some program that keeps track of megabytes downloaded via the 3g nett or wlan. I fear for my phone bills

The last issue is about proxy. At my school, they use a proxy server. That means that when I use my laptop, I have to log on the wireless connection, logg on with username and password, set firefox to "automaticly detect proxy" or something(my browser language is norwegian), then restart the browser.
Is there any way I can adjust proxy settings?
