Default Hava or Slingbox?

Hello everyone out there...

I'm undecided on which I should use... should I get a hava from http://www.myhava.com and rig that up to my set top box or use my existing slingbox from Sling?

I used to have my sling via Symbian, but it annoyed me that I had to pay for a player that wasn't working on the more up to date symbian phones, so never used it again.

I don't have a windows mobile sling mobile player so can't try it and wanted to know all your thoughts before I dove in!

Cheers

Donations more than welcome if you like my work.
It will probably keep my girlfriend off my back too if she knows people appreciate it and it will help pay for my wedding

Currently on: Neon theme for Rhodium, Blackstone, Topaz -- Link

I've SlinBox Solo. Working great via HSDPA and WIFI. You should have something like 1Mb/s upload rate at home.

When you guys use SlingPlayer mobile on the HD2, if you run it at full screen, does it actually go to full screen? On mine, it make is go into landscape mode and while the picture is noticeably larger, it not quite 100% full screen - there's a black border on all sides? Is that about right? Or have I downloaded and installed the wrong version?

I just get black on the sides in full screen as it doesn't support widescreen or even stretch to widescreen yet. I will write below what I have written on other threads only to gain exposure and hopefully get help from fellow xda users.

"I have been trying to drum up support on the uservoice forum for sling to get better controls for windows mobile & full screen support. I have posted requests for support before but as I suspect the total amount of users that use a slingbox on xda is quite low so its slow going.

I have recently done the same thing for the layar app and support for that is amazing.

So I'll try again and see if we can get some updates from sling.

Please register and give your comment & votes. If we don't ask we don't get!!

There are more ideas there you may want to vote on etc... every little helps.

Thanks"
