Yeah, i too love the sense UI but with time i got dissapointed of the speed of every single sense ROM i tried - although our cooks have done a really great job of pushing it to the limits. I think they can't get faster as they are now - it' the HTC ROM with all the features itself...
I used eViL's nano sense ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=577797) that's really fast (as can get with sense UI) and stable. You have to select what you want to install and it's limited, but who uses every part of sense?
Well, in daily use it pointed out, when making and receiving calls and switching between applications it was too slow for me (lags,...). I needed full exchange support and so the only alternative was a rogers ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=555499
It has multitouch and double tap to zoom in / tripple tap to zoom out in browser and has also youtube built in. You don't have to mess with partitioning and swap and for now, i'm really impressed with the speed of it. Just using it for two days now, so i will see how stable it is. But it's such a big difference in terms of speed, that every sense UI ROM will have to compete with it for me.
I really appreciate the hard work and effort every cook puts in his ROM development. And i hope they will get it as fast as the native android. But sadly, i think it's just not possible...
Waiting for Android 2!
