1. Neither xda-developer, nor the hacker (who made HardSPL possible) nor ME are liable for any demage on your device.

2. By using HSPL you can loose your guarantee. Ask your mobile-operator for more informations.
3. You use HSPL on your own risk. When you do a mistake, it’s all your own fault. The hacker and developer works hard to make everyting working. But the world is not perfect.

<--- What is SPL and why do i need it? --->

The SPL is mainly a bootloader which allows a ROM to be flashed onto your device. As has been uncovered recently (or known to the more astute longer) the SPL does more than just load and boot the ROM it sets various flags which can control the operation of the OS on the device. It also controls some operations between the OS and the device's hardware. SPLs come paired with shipped (or leaked) official ROMs and are meant to match the ROMs operation. Therefore, with each new ROM release there is likely to be a new SPL.

There are two versions of SPL:

HardSPL & SoftSPL

SoftSPL is a patched SPL that will temporary unlock your CID (until reboot). Why Temporary? Because of your warranty, since there is no CID block written, your warranty will not be voided. Also with this tool it is not necesarry to have a permanently unlocked CID. And last it's safe. It doesn't flash a CID block or IPL/SPL to your device on it's own, but you should choose the ROM you want to flash wisely.

HSPL is a custom G4 SPL patched by Olipro which let your device think it has SuperCID (aka CID unlocked). If you use HardSPL, you don't need a separate loader in the future, just use the RUU provided in the ROM package.

The PC

Make sure you use Win7 or WinXP. In past the experience with WinXP was the best while flashing a device. Flashing with WinVista is realy risky.
Close all not needed running processes on the PC like MSN, ICQ, Donloads/Uploads, etc.
Very important is to shutdown your firewall and your anti-virus software. Secialy G-Data makes problems while flashing.

The device

1. Make sure the Battery is over 50% charged. 100% is best.
2. Backup your data. Use SPB Backup or any other Backup-Tools. I recommend SPB Backup, cause it is 100% compatible with WinMo 6.5
3. Make sure you have a Gold Card ("]Link)

Important: Untill there is no HSPL yet, you will need a GoldCard!
How to get a GoldCard?

1. Download SSPL: Download-Thread Direkt-Link
2. Extract the File to a new folder
3. Connect the device with the PC via Active Sync/Windows Mobile Device Center
4. Place the ROM you want flash into the same folder. Make sure the ROM is a ".NBH" file and not an ".EXE" file
5. Press "SSPL_RUU.exe" twice



6. Read, select the checkbox, press NEXT



7. Read, select the checkbox, press NEXT



8. Wait untill the device-informations are vertifyted



9. Press "Uptate"



10. Read, press NEXT



11. Flashing



12. Done!

<--- How to flash an other ROM and the Invalid ID problem --->

INVALID VENDER ID
You have used SSPL for flashing a cooked ROM. But you are not happy with this ROM and want flash an other one. Hold on! First you need a GoldCard!
You need to flash a original stocked ROM in your fav. langauge by using a GoldCard. How you make a GoldCard you can read HERE (Link)!

After you flashed your device back to an original ROM you can use SSPL again and flash an other ROM on your HD2.

Error 260/Connection Failed

1: Connected device via active sync, established connection to WMDC
2: Opened Device Manager, found the HTC HD2 item and removed the driver ALSO DELETING IT FROM THE SYSTEM
3: Reboot
4: Connected device via active sync, allow the driver to DOWNLOAD from M$ and fully install
5: Disconnect the HD2 from USB and bring into bootloader
6: Connect the device in Bootloader to a DIFFERENT USB socket and allow driver to load and "Serial" will turn to "USB"
7: LEAVE THE DEVICE IN BOOTLOADER
8: Run "SSPL_RUU.exe" as Administrator and flash from Bootloader

I think Win7 x64 has a problem installing the Active Sync Driver and the HTC Sync Driver to the same USB Socket. I tryed using the USB socket i established the WMDC connection with and it would not install the second driver!

1. Weder xda-developer, noch die Hacker (die das HardSPL ermöglicht haben), noch ICH haftet für Schäden an eurem Gerät, die durch das einspielen von HardSPL entstehen könnten.

2. Mit dem einspielen des HardSPL könntet ihr eure Garantie verlieren. Wenn euch diese wichtig ist, fragt beim Provider (falls ihr das Gerät dort gekauft habt) nach. Solltet ihr das Gerät im freien Handel (z.b. beim MediaMarkt/Statur/co.) erworben haben, dann bitte dort nachfragen

3. Ihr benützt das HardSPL selber. Euch zwingt niemand dazu. Falls ertwas schief läuft, seit ihr selber schuld. Die Hacker und Entwickler auf diesem Bord (Forum) geben ihr bestes, damit alles bestens funktioniert - aber die Welt ist eben nicht perfekt.

Es gibt zwei Arten von SPL (zumindest für den HTC HD2)

HardSPL & SoftSPL

SoftSPL ist ein Patch für das originale SPL. Es befreit eurer CID von den Fesseln des OEM. Doch leider ist das nur temporär. Hacker und Entwickler benutzen SoftSPL zum Prüfen des finalen Hacks - also HardSPL. Die CID vom HD2 wird bei einem SoftSPL nicht neu geflasht. SoftSPL (kurz SSPL) greift nur während des Boot-Vorgangs.

HardSPL ist der Schlüssel zur Freiheit. Beim Einspielen des HardSPL (kurz HSPL) wird eure CID neu geflasht. Danach "denkt" das Gerät es hätte eine SuperCID und erlaubt euch das einspielen jedes beliebigen ROMs. Ihr müsst euch danach nicht mehr um euere SPL oder CID kümmern. /

Am PC

Ihr solltet einen Windows 7 oder Windows XP Rechter haben. Wenn bei euch Vista läuft, ist es nur bedingt zu empfehlen, damit das HardSPL einzuspielen. Mit XP seit ihr auf der sicheren Seite.

Beendet alle unnötigen Prozesse wie IM-Messenger, Spiele, Downloads, etc. Alles was Rechenleistung zieht und den PC zum abstürzen bringen könnte. Ihr solltet auch die Firewall/Internet-Security abschalten. In der Vergangenheit haben Programme wie G-Data und co. Probleme bereitet.

...

Am Gerät

1. Stellt sicher, dass der Akku über 50% geladen ist. Am Besten sind natürlich 100% Akkuladung.
2. Macht sicherheitshalber ein Backup eurer Daten. Benutzt SPB Backup (oder eine andere Software eures Vertrauens). Ich empfehle SPB Backup(es gibt auch eine 15-Tägige Testversion), weil es nativ zu Windws Mobile 6.5 kompatibel ist .
3. Stellt sicher, dass ihr eine GoldCard für den HD HD2 erstellt habt! (Link)

<--- Jetzt geht´s los --->

1. Ladet euch das das SSPL HIER herunter (Direkter Download)
2. Entpackt den Ordner auf "C/:" - aber da, wo ihr ihn auch wiederfindet.
3. Schließt das Gerät an den PC an und verbindet mit Active Sync/Windows Mobile Device Center
4. Platziert das gewünschte ROM in Form einer ".NBH" Datei in den selben Ordner. Stellt sicher, dass es sich um eine ".NBH" Datei handelt und nciht um eine ".EXE" Datei!
5. Drückt zwei Mal "SSPL_RUU.exe"



5. Lesen, Kästchen auswählen, NEXT drücken



6. Lesen, Kästchen auswählen, NEXT drücken



7. Warte, bis alle nötigen Informationen zu dem Gerät gesammelt wruden



8. Drücke auf "Uptate"



9. Lesen, danach NEXT drücken



10. Das Flashen kann beginnen

Was heißt ROM und was hat es mit dem Kochen zu tun?
ROM steht für "Read Only Memory" und bezeichnet das Windwos Mobile, das auf euren HTC HD2 gehört. Damit ein "gekochtes" - also ein modifiziertes, verbessertes oder einfach nur neueres - System auf dem HTC HD2 benutzt werden kann, muss das Gerät zu erst mit HSPL bearbeitet werden. Ein ROM kommt meistens als eine ".nbh" Datei und eine ".exe" Datei. Damit das ROM auf den HD2 kommt, muss das Gerät mit dem PC verbunden werden. Exe zwei mal ankicken und den Anweisungen auf dem Bildschirm folgen


Was ist SPL und wofür brauche ich das?

SPL ist grob bezeichnet der Bootloader eures HTC HD2. Die Abkürzung "SPL" steht für "Secondary Program Loader". Dieses SPL verwaltet den Boot-Prozess von Windows Mobile.
Wenn ihr ein "gekochtes" ROM (Firmware) auf euren HD2 einspielen wollt, muss dieses SPL modifiziert werden. Sonst kann das gekochte Windows Mobile nicht geladen werden.


Was ist HardSPL? Was ist SoftSPL? Und wo ist der Unterschied?

<- BUGs - Bekannte Fehler und Lösungen ->

Error 260/Connection Failed

Lösung: Verbindet euren HTC HD2 mit ActiveSync bzw. dem Windows Mobile Device Center (WinVista und Win7). Wartet bis das Gerät eingerichtet ist. Wenn fehlende Treiber installiert werden müssen, wartet, bis der PC diese selber Installiert hat. Wenn die Verbindung steht und auch nicht´s mehr synchronisiert wird, versucht den Flash-Vorgang erneut.

INVALID VENDER ID
Lösung: Du habt ein ROM erfolgreich geflasht, bist mit diesem jedoch nicht zufrieden? Halt! Warte, bevor du ein anderes ROM versuchst zu flashen! Nur mit einer GoldCard kann ein anderes ROM geflasht werden. Gehe so vor:

1. GoldCard erstellen
2. HD2 mit der GoldCard flashen
3. SSPL benutzen, um ein anderes ROM auf den HD2 zu flashen.
4. Wenn du das ROM erneut wechseln willst, wiederhole Punkt 2 und 3.

How to Hard/Softreset your HTC HD2 - Source (please Donate to smaberg)

1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons, then press the END/POWER button shortly and release it. You will then see a message on the screen telling you this will erase xxxxxxxx......

2. Release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.

3. Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.

Für jedes Gerät das selbe. Und trotzdem wird immer wieder gefragt, wie man das eine oder andere macht. Hier eine kleine Liste der wichtigsten Sachen auf einen Blick zusammen gefasst.

Hard- und Soft-Reset

Anleitung auf Englisch - Quelle

Softreset - Hier gibt es zwei Möglichkeiten:
Akku-Abdeckung abmachen und Akku raus nehmen
Akku-Abdeckung abmachen und den roten Punkt links unten mit einem nicht zu breiten Gegenstand (z.b. Büroklammer) drücken.

Hardreset - auch hier wieder zwei Möglichkeiten:
Gerät ist eingeschaltet->Start->Einstellungen->System->Speicher löschen
Gerät lässt sich nicht mehr einschalten oder das System startet nicht ->Ein/Aus/Auflegen Knopf drücken und halten, bis das Gerät ausgeht (wirklich aus, und nicht nur der Bildschirm).->Ein/Aus/Auflegen Knopf loslassen-> Lautstärke-Regelung auf der linken Seite des Gerätes drücken und gedrückt halten. -> Kurz auf den Ein/Aus/Auflegen Knopf drücken aber nicht halten.->Ein Bildschirm mit drei Farben erscheint, dann eine Meldung erscheint->Lautstärke Knöpfe loslassen->Den oberen Lautsträke-Knopf kurz drücken.

SPL-Version prüfen
Gerät ausschalten, indem die "Aus/Auflgen-Taste" im eingeschalteten Zustand länger gedrückt wird->In dem nun offenen Fenster "Gerät ausschalten" wählen->Lautstärke nach unten drücken und halten->"Aus/Auflegen-Taste" kurz drücken und Lautstärke nach unten weiter halten bis der gewünschte Bildschirm erscheint.

Was mache ich mit einer ".nbh" Datei?

Ihr habt ein ROM vor euch, dass auf den HD2 muss/soll. Dazu braucht ihr das CustomRUU. Ihr findet es HIER. Platziert nun die ".exe" Datei in den selben Ordner wie die ".nbh" Datei. Startet nun die ".exe" und folgt den Anweisungen, die nun auf dem Bildschirm erscheinen.

Total sinnlos, solange es noch kein HSPL gibt.

Der Threadtitel ist verwirrend (wenigstens ein "baldige" hätte man erwähnen können), als gäbe es schon ein HSPL.

Eine Anleitung ist schön und gut, wenn es einen Grund dafür gibt.

Den Thread finde ich deshalb ebenfalls (noch) total überflüssig. Man, man.

Und dann 4 freie Posts ohne Thema für nur eine Anleitung. Sorry, man kann sich echt wichtiger machen als man ist.
